Don't you know, gay role = gay actor = every role must be gay? It's science.

I swear to God, before the Internet the village idiot stayed in their town.
The article says the next bond film he going to kiss Felix and I believe it because he already doing it in another film.
Yes he was.. but what the hell does that have to do with the role of James Bond??!!

Honestly, it is just tabloid trash that made its way onto a blog site. To take almost anything that appears on the internet as true these days is ignorant.
As for Craig ruining the franchise, Brosnan beat him to it. Fortunately the pheonix rises from the ashes.

He only does this "delenda Carthago" because he knows everyone jumps on it immediately.
And then sits in front of his computer and laughs his **** off, because he once again managed to upset half the board and spoil their fun.
Might be DB, or the Moo, or anyone else of our known trolls, or someone else who has no clue about Bond at all (which is quite obvious), and only loves to make trouble. Just ignore him, for Pete's sake.

On the one hand, it is hard for me to believe the Bond franchise would do something like this. But then again, would you really be all THAT surprised if they do?

I don’t know about Bond and Leiter kissing, but there is that part of the film where another guy is
Spoiler

I wouldn't. That's not Sean Connery's or Roger Moore's fault, or any other actor in the role prior to Craig. I would just erase everything Bond past Pierce from my memory and stop paying attention to anything new that comes out with 007 name on it.

Oh, come off it. To change Bond's sexual orientation would be marketing suicide. They're not going to do it.

Never read the Casino Royale novel have you.
No, I haven't. I am sure I'm not the only one who's not familiar with all Bond novels.

I completely agree. This will be suicide in the eyes of any straight Bond fan. But considering the way movie making is going these days, nothing will shock me anymore.

No, but most people are at least aware of the infamous torture scene.

You're not getting it, are you? Bond is not gay, he never will be gay, and no-one will ever represent him as gay (except on fanfiction.net, of course). Regardless of your apocalyptic view of filmmaking, Hollywood will always go where the money is. There's no money in making Bond gay, or American, or black, or a woman, or a superintelligent duck. The franchise is a cash cow, and the producers - minor "reboot" notwithstanding - are not going to fix what ain't broke.
"Any straight Bond fan?" Are you implying that gay Bond fans want to see him turn gay? As far as I've ever known by them, Bond fans who happen to be gay like our man just as he is...it's mostly the lonely Brosnan fangirls who want to see him happily settled with Alec.

I don't know what your problem is and why you are barking at me , but we obviously don't see eye to eye, which is just fine by me as long as we can respect each other's views without going ballistic. I am indeed disappointed with Hollywood of today (again, my view!), and though they may know where "the money is", they have also been known to do stupid things and ruin good shows and classic movies with lousy remakes. I am not saying that they will do the same with Bond. I am only saying that if they did, this won't be the first time, hypothetically speaking.

1) I am not barking at you.
2) I don't respect your view, I think it's rubbish. However, you're welcome to hold to it if it brings you satisfaction.
3) I am not going ballistic.
4) Don't really care how you feel about the percieved direction that filmmaking is going - what you're implying is that Hollywood's made a habit of turning straight iconic characters gay. Name one.

Look, Tortilla Factory. For the last time I am going to say something here. I re-read every single post I have made on this thread. Perhaps, my English is not so good or something, since I am not a native speaker, and someone might read something into another person's words. But nowhere did I say that "Hollywood has a habit of turning straight people to gay"!!! All I said was that Hollywood has been known to ruin classic TV and movies with lousy remakes, and that in my opinion, these days a lot of times they have an attitude of "anything goes".
Don't agree with me - fine! I don't care. Whatever. Don't like it - kindly pass me by.

This has nothing to do with your English. You repeatedly express concern that Hollywood is going to turn Bond gay. From that I extrapolate that you must have experienced something like that, to make you believe it would happen in spite of all evidence to the contrary. Do you have a specific example of this kind of thing happening? I suspect not, but I could be wrong.
I "repeatedly express concern that Hollywood is going to turn Bond gay"... Hmm... Wow! I have no idea how you came up with that, but FYI, I have a favourite Bond actor already and stopped caring about what they do to the character a long time ago. My participation in this topic is only due to something I read on the news and keeping up with what's going on out of sheer curiosity. But Geez, thanks for your analysis of my "concerns", I had no idea I had them.

As they say, the quotes don't lie. You sound pretty convinced that Bond turning gay is a viable option. I was just trying to point out that it's not, but you don't seem to be understanding why.

Whatever you say! I'm done arguing with you, obviously it is going nowhere and it's taken too much of my time already. Have your last word if you wish.
