The rain has finally hit, so I made my choice:
For Your Eyes Only, with Sir Roger's commentary track.

What are the commentaries like AMC from Sir Rog, worth a listen over the films?

With or without the film itself, TCR.
Sir Roger doesn't comment on the production so much as reminisce about what else the scenes remind him of. He is a very entertaining raconteur, so be prepared to miss dialogue in the film while he regales you with stories wholly unrelated.
I'd love to spend an evening in Sir Roger's company - this is as close as I'll ever get.

This is the only commentary I've not yet heard. Does Moore say what he thinks of the film? I was always under the impression that he did not like it.

AVTAK he didn't like, because of its violence quotient.
He had a lot of fond memories of filming in Greece and working with Carole Bouquet, Jack Hedley and Topol. He didn't feel that kicking Loque's car off the cliff fit with his idea of his Bond, but he appreciated how the final result went over with audiences.
It's been a while since I listened to his other commentary tracks so I can't remember which he said was his favorite. Must be time to run through the pack again...

I'm glad I'm not the only one who really enjoys Moore's commentary on his films. And, If I recall correctly, he is quite fond of The Man With The Golden Gun... He can get off on quite the tangent though!
I could go for watching a Moore film, now that the name has been brought up!

I was lucky enough to spend an evening with Sir Rog in his tour of 2012 in the UK, and was transfixed just listening to him talk and reminisce. So on that basis I can miss the film itself in the background (not like I don't know the script or what's going on) and have the commentaries on.
Thanks AMC, I'll certainly have to try that next!

Now right now I am watching the Man with the Golden Gun because I am currently reading the Ian Fleming "Man with the Golden Gun" novel. It made me want to watch this Bond movie.

Last night I watched Casino Royale and Quantum Of Solace back to back - I find they work better that way, and then a couple of hours later watched Skyfall. I thoroughly enjoyed all three, and only made me look forward even more to Bond 24.

Right now, I am feeing Brosnan right now. I mean I was commenting on the Die Another Day thread and that's made me want to watch that movie or another Brosnan movie before I go back to school!
