He could use the '007 theme' after the pre-titles, after all, he has become 007 and not the real James Bond until the end of the movie, and it has been too long since we haven't heard that theme (It was in FRWL, GF, TB, YOLT, DAF and MR).

But Arnold could have to do some work on it, 'cause it may sound old fashioned (it may be interesting to hear it 21th century style)

it would be great if the "007 theme" was used in this movie...ie :) some Conneryesque reference/nod to classic bond...ie the real James Bond is back!

I'm kinda bummed Arnold is not just reochestrating old Barry themes, but making some new ones on his own. So far, most of his themes have nothing memorable or catchy at all.

True, but remember how Arnold used the main Bond theme alot throughout his scores so it kind of overshadowed his own work. Now that he won't relying on it as much we can really see what Arnold can do.

Probably better that way. The Barry themes are perfect the way they are, integrated in the movies they were written to in the first place.
Re-using them wouldn't be too flattering to Arnold's creativity, would it? :)

I'm keeping my fingers crossed about this whole "new direction" thing he's talking about.
Curious about what kind of theme he'll develop using OHMSS as a template.

looking at the hotdog interview, what he says is that ohmss is close to casino royale in that it doesnt use the bond theme much,so the ohmss theme becomes like a new bond theme for the new bond.

ie george lazenby. not daniel craig.
no where does it say ohmss will be a template for a new bond theme in casino royale, someone else must have misread it and come to the wrong conclusion.again.

For my 2 cents worth into this thread: I will miss the trumpet fanfare of the main theme during the body of the film if, in fact, it does not show up until the end. I'd prefer to have it thrice. Once during the gunbarrel. Once to close the film. And once during the "climax" of the main story, wherever that may be.

I apologize for once wishing ruin upon one of the coolest and potentially iconic moments in the series.

Sorry.
