Yea somehow I doubt he'll return in subsequent movies. He does seem to be somewhat of a secondary character. We'll see Bond get what he wants in the next movie and that'll be the end of him. Maybe WHO he's working for will become a returning feature or someone will be out for revenge for White.
Whatever/whoever he's to do with, that'll be Bond 22's story, not White himself.

It's an implied kill. They can get further information out of 'another'. There's no need for Mr. White, Bond knows this.

Not really. Mr. White is Bond's only link. And I don't think it necessary implies a kill - it implies an interrogation.

But the question is whether or not we actually see this interrogation. Although I suppose it may be shown in flashback form towards the beginning of BOND 22. A point raised is the amount of information which we are meant to assume that Bond gets from Vesper's phone - does it contain information about Mr White's superiors?

These are the sort of cliffhanger points that will be debated at length between CASINO ROYALE and BOND 22 one would assume.

Bond indeed won't make the same mistake he did with Molakka, so keeping White alive (at least temporarily) is essential. Interrogation is required to discover the "higher-ups" involved within a deeper plot. But as 'Vauxhall' stated, whether we actually see this interrogation in CR, Bond 22, or even at all is a complete guess.
The script implies a cliffhanger, so the way they actually transferred this on-screen will be interesting.

I foresee CR being a huge success and its popularity putting more [censored] in theatre seats for future Bond films. I believe that this new edge EON has is perfect for the era in which we live and will guarantee success for both Craig's tenure with the franchise and the future of the Bond films.
