In the book Lechiffre dies all it says is Bond looked up at him and saw and third eye and saw vesper holding a gun.
It was a member of SMERSH that kills Le Chiffre in the novel, not Vesper. He walks over to Bond, as he's tied to the chair, and carves the SMERSH logo into his hand.

Although I am curious to see how they will handle the torture scene also.
But above that, I want to see Daniel walking and talking in Bond's shoes, and the trailer didn't give us enough of that.

Call me sadistic, but I can't wait to see how they handle the torture scene, no pun intended. That and the final line.
Same here. Both will be the most difficult scenes to pull off.

When Bond finds out Vesper is a double agent. Could be very powerful, especially if done close to the way it was in the book.
Not sure how they're going to handle that, but definitely looking forward to it...

Yes, that's the set for the finale in Venice. A collapsing building is part of it, but nothing in the sewers. The reference to THE THIRD MAN was merely in terms of the suspense involved I believe - not in terms of the actual content of the scenes. Hope that helpsI've been trying to find the right place to post this question/observation. I'm looking forward to the finale. There were earlier hints that it pays homage to The Third Man finale sequence in the sewers. I noticed on the video on the offical site that shows the construction of a major set at the 007 stage at Pinewood that there are multiple layers of the set. Is this the collapsing building - underground action sequence we've read about - and is this the finale? I suspect it is - but I haven't read the script and I can't find the links where this has been discussed before. What do those in the know know about this?

To be honest, I don't see how they can avoid a scene like that and still stay close to the book. Here's the question, what would you prefer: Major weeping by Bond like in OHMSS or slight weeping by Bond like in TWINE after he shoots Elektra?and maybe we can look forward to an OHMSS-like scene, where Bond almost cries about his loved one...

- The 'Ronin' like car chase, when James Bond tries to catch Vesper out of Le Chiffre's hands. Will the Aston Martin DBS be destroyed, just like Bond destroys his Bentley in the novel?
- Maybe I sound crazy, but I'm curious how both Solange (read '007 In New York') and Vesper will die. We know Vesper su

Has this image been made available anywhere on the internet? Because if so, I think I've missed it. Could you possibly describe it for us? CheersAfter seeing the image of it from the 'Art of Bond' book, the torture sequence looks quite horrific. Definitely looking forward to it!

Its a very simple picture - Bond (in his birthday suit) tied (very tightly and uncomfortably it seems) to a chair, whilst Le Chiffre stands opposite him. It looks like he's holding a piece of rope though, but its a very dark image so its hard to tell. The room looks like a kind of tunnel, but apparently its inside Le Chiffre's barge/boat.
The most chilling thing is how cold and dark the room looks, with Bond sitting naked. Not a particularly graphic image, but the atmosphere is very discomforting.
