It's been quite awhile since I've read a Gardner Bond novel.
For Special Services was my favourite, though I missed out on the last three books.
Of the ones I read I'd say the films I'd like to see are:
Scorpius
For Special Services
Icebreaker (great title and the igloo torture scene is intense)
Brokenclaw (another good title)
and maybe Role of Honour.
Licence Renewed is okay as well.

:)

I think all of the titles would be suitable for the Bond film franchise.

They would obviously have to alter the plots and so forth like they did with the fleming books, because certain extracts have been taken form some Gardner novels and used in the late 80's and possably 90's bond films. It would cause a sence of deja vue.

But Eon have said that the Gardner novels wont work has films or something.

Failing that what about using No Deals Mr Bond.......some good stuff in there aswell

Yeah, I thought No Deals, Mr. Bond was pretty good too. It would be nice to see a Bond film in Ireland plus it could bring SMERSH into the series.

I like the plot and the book - one of my favorite Gardner's, but the title is one of the worst.

Still I would love to see the book be made into a movie.

I could quite happily see Brozza as he is now - slightly aged - as Bond in For Special Services, playing off against Leiter's daughter and being reminded of Tracy by SPECTRE. It would give Brozza the chance to bring his emotional-Bond to the fore. Only problem would be the lack of Brozza's history with Leiter but David Hedison and he would fit the right age for the generation issue.

Angelina Jolie as Nina, anyone?
