I really think its inclusion in Octopussy puts “The Property Of A Lady” out of the running. And, yeah, I know people claim this was the title of Dalton's third film, but show me a treatment or script with this title (and not a Starlog article) and I'll believe it.

Hmm... "The World Is Not Enough" was used in OHMSS, and "License To Kill" in several other Bond movies and both were still used as movie titles later.

Quite simple. Not a remake of the original, just like CR is not a remake of the original. The true. Real. Ian Fleming's Live and let die.

"JAMES BOND WILL RETURN IN LIVE AND LET DIE"

If I see that in the theater, I guarantee I'm going to spit my soda everywhere.
"JAMES BOND WILL RETURN IN WHAT?!"

Go with “The Property Of A Lady”. A great Fleming title just waiting to be used.
I'm in agreement with you Devin, although I also think that Risico is a good one (even if nobody understands it)
Personnaly, I dream of
QUANTUM OF SOLACE
for years....

Having said that, there does seem to be uncertainty as to Bab's and Mickey actually picking a title now, especially as the "studio" has to ok things (for Marketting etc) and it's something that they string out for as long as possible. But they've had a year to sort the script and that should hopefully lead them to a suitable title, so here's hoping.

A title would be great! I remember when that was a part of the Bond movie going experience -- as much a part as the opening gunbarrel. You knew if you stayed through the end credits you'd learn the title of the next film. I really miss that.
As do I. I remember watching the end scroll of FYEO with anxious curiosity. Would they really use 'Octopussy' as a title? I was proud of Eon when I saw they were going for it.
I can remember someone behind me in the theater saying, "Octo....WHAT?"
What if Barbara Broccoli plans to do the Fleming novels in order, but with the original title or a slightly different title, such as a chapter title from that particular book. For example, the second book is LIVE AND LET DIE, but Fleming had a different title at one point and so maybe the end credits of CR will say:
The end of Casino Royale.
But James Bond will return in
"THE UNDERTAKER'S WIND"

Err...I might. I seem to remember "Order", but heaven knows I've been wrong before and will almost certainly be wrong again.

So is it now a pretty safe bet that we'll be getting a quick teaser of Bond 22 at the end of CR? Nothing too fancy, just a nice "Will Return in..." sort of deal.
- Chris
It's a safe bet, but not a guarantee. I think they should go with it. Even if they're wrong and they end up changing the title, big deal. Fans find that stuff interesting anyway.

RISICO means Risk I guess.
I'd personnally love "Quantum of Solace", but "The Property of a Lady" or Risico are more probable.
