Obviously the Irish Examiner hasn't heard that Brosnan is no longer James Bond.

"Rosamund Pike is relieved she doesn't have to appear in any more James Bond movies - as she couldn't stand kissing Pierce Brosnan."
Obviously the Irish Examiner hasn't heard that Brosnan is no longer James Bond.

"It was my first-ever love scene, too, but it was no more nerve-racking than any of the other scenes I had to do because everyone was very considerate and we started off with a closed set. Pierce [Brosnan] was very gentlemanly about the whole thing and really put me at my ease."

I don't think I would like kissing PB either, let's face it, a man stands or falls by the way he kisses and I'm not a Brosnan fan but I think it was rather rude and unnecessary for her to make that kind of comment.
Highly, highly doubt she made it.

Look carefully at the quotes, folks. Pike said nothing that comes close to inflammatory; only the goons writing the headlines did. She is now more comfortable with loves scenes, and that's why they're easier to film - that's the only feeling I get from what she said.
Absolutely. The headline artists are at work again, folks.

Doesn't like being recognised as a former Bond girl but brings it up in every interview she does.
Probably because, aside from Die Another Day, her career has been made up of supporting rolls and B-movies.

Mind you, she was drunk at the time.

And were they forwards rolls or backwards rolls?

Just sounds like an attitude...
I'll second that emotion. When the day comes that she needs to pad her checking account, she'll be at Autographica or Chiller begging Bond fans to pay attention to her.

indeed, it's not like she didn't know what was going to happen. I never understand why, one becomes an actor. And then get upset about what comes with the fame.

Lady doth protest too much, as is usual for Ms. Pike.

I think you can include Die Another Day in that last comment, Roebuck!

Goodness knows why she signed up for trash like Doom....

I think that's a bit unfair. You don't get handed lead roles right off the bat.
Pride and Prejudice - nominated for 4 Oscars, hardly the stuff of 'B-movies'.
The Libertine - won a London critics circle award for Best supporting actress
Doom - Yeah, its a movie based on a videogame...and she got paid $1 million.
As far as I can see, she seems to be poised to have one of, if not, the best careers of any Bond girl.
As for these comments she supposedly made, I don't think she'd be dissing Pierce in any way, because she seems to be doing another movie with him :

Agreed. And I am sure that Bond fans will pay attention to her, though dissing her co-stars as she does here isn't going to endear her to many. Speaking on a personal level IMO I have never thought Pike was appealing or particularly attractive.
