The whole idea of attractiveness is just too damn subjective. Brosnan has model good-looks, but I find Dalton very appealing in a somewhat earthier way. As a young man Moore was very good-looking, as Brosnan was, but also somewhat generic.

Craig, I can't judge. He's intense. I like intense. On va voir.

Connery is Connery. My belief in his attractiveness or not has little to do with it.

Pierce in goldeneye imo is the best looking among all Bonds.No doubt about that.Roger Moore looked bloated and old in AVTAK.Craig is a ruggedly handsome Bond.Not ugly for sure if someone feels i felt that way.

Daniel Craig has come really high in 2 recent women's polls for sexy men and he came second in a GMTV hunkiest Bond poll.

There are always some women who disslike a man, my mother says Pierce Brosnan is, quote, "slimey and unattractive", she thinks Tim Dalton and Sean Connery were the most handsome Bonds. But there is a wide consensus that Daniel Craig is a hunk whether you agree or not and I believe this thread was started with the intention of stirring arguments - so let me just state that before any break out.

No argument stirring intented.Why wont Daniel Craig score points in a sexy man poll.What do you mean ? Do you think Craig is ugly or you just suppose so and want to justify needlessly.

That's exactly how I feel. You've got "pretty" Bonds, like Brosnan and Moore, you've got "virile" Bonds, like Connery, Craig, and Lazenby, and then you've got Dalton, who's somewhere in between. I don't think Craig is boyishly handsome, but he's not ugly or repulsive. Even if you ignore his physique, which is his best feature and far superior to any other Bond actor's, he's still an attractive man.

I don't think this thread is objectionable...we compare these lads for everything else so why not looks/attractiveness? I think they are all very handsome and attractive otherwise they'd be playing a different role(duh!)!


Connery is the ugliest and Brosnan is the prettiest. Sean has a crueler look, like he'd have had a harder life and had really been forced to survive meaner streets...while Brosnan looks like pampered male model. They ranked 1 and 5(Craig doesn't make the list yet) on my list respectively too I might add. Looks aren't everything.

That picture above when Craig was at the press conference is awful I think... whats going on with his eyes? Is it mascara, or eyeliner? Basically he looks heavily made-up, the one thing that Bond CANNOT look! I hope they fired the make up artist. He looks great in most other pics though...

As for whether this thread was designed to trigger more Craig-bashing, I thought so too at first, but then I checked Medrecess's previous posts and they are generally very pro-Craig. So Medrecess is off the hook!

Craig fans are way too defensive here. He's not ugly at all but probably the least conventionally handsome in the Bondian sense. This is his hurdle to overcome with the general audience. I've seen snipes at him for this in non-Bond sites whenever 007 comes up. And why do males care how Bond looks? Because of identifying with the ultra alpha male NOT wanting to date him.

The first thing you would see in a potential bond is how he looks,whether he is good looking enough,debonair enough.Otherwise a funnyman could be bond.But would anyone accept a Rowan Atkinson as Bond.?

If ten years from now DC goes and search for a new bond begins the first actors who come to your mind would have to fit the Bond description.ie have to be debonair , charming.That is why a lot of you wanted Owen as Bond ,jackman as Bond.

I think this thread is pointless. All the Bonds look larger than life. Some were handsome (meaning attractive in a masculine way) others were pretty (attractive in a feminine way). Our own personal preference is based on our own personal history. However, the most effective at playing Bond IMO is Connery/Dalton.

George Lazenby seems thinner than he was in OHMSS. He was pretty massive in that one. I recognize the picture of Sean Connery where he was a runner up in the Mr. Scotland contest. Craig looks like he'll either be the most muscular Bond, or a close second to the Lazenby I remember.

The only trouble is OHMSS I don't remember Lazenby in anything so revealing.
