Blue Eyes (07 Apr, 2002 11:21 p.m.):(edited)
Capping it at 10 will also mean no new car spaces or amenities. Face it, most of us can't visit the FDC HQ at any given time simply cause of travel constraints. Should keep the costs down too.

We should probably talk about this on the FDC's forum but since this is were the subject was broached.

I think capping out at ten is not a smart. Slowing the number of members is a good, freezing I think may cause the club to stagnate. If space becomes an issue we should grant limited membership to qualifying new member until such time that funding for expansion could be gotten. And we may have to give up our parking spaces, gentleman. We could make special arrangements with the hotel across the street for valet parking when there is a full club get together. That's were I usually stay anyway.

We are going to need to decide soon, Daniel is already preparing for White Persian's entrance into the FDC.

Trevelyan (08 Apr, 2002 12:34 p.m.):
10 members!? Well im screwed...might as well leave CBn...

I'm not sure why you're worried, Trev. You're number 10 on the CBN members list now. (Although White Knight is moving up the list rather fast.)

Mostly it's top secret. But aside from the gold membership badge, the special edition of DVDs, and use of the club facilities, all members will recieve a signed paperback copy of my fan fiction novel upon its completion.

Only a few other people will get that honour and they are the ones who have helped me with research, editing, or other things on the novel, or who have characters in the book with their name.

The only thing that annoys me about the 4DC is that I have membership number 006! :) :) :)

White Persian look's like getting the fabled 007 membership card.

I think we should skip member number 007 and just go straight to 008. A bit like a hotel with no floor 13 :)

OK...these are the notes I have made so far:

I need to bring air freshner when I join the club.

I shouldn't count on a parking place.

I will have plenty to read!

Consider me briefed. (And don't anyone *dare* volunteer to debrief me!)

When Patch is doing cooking, yeah (or more accurately, after Patch has done the cooking).

I shouldn't count on a parking place.

But you don't have a car! :)

Tis true, we have plenty of toilet readers... And a well stocked bookself in the lounge too.

Well the 4DC drier packed up last week, so you're just gonna have to drip dry them after a shot in my hot tub. Sorry. :)

I know you guys didn't like this idea when I brought it up at the meeting, but since we're the Four Digit Club, I've always thought that our FDC member numbers should have Four Digits. Okay, no one liked having triple-oh numbers instead of double-oh, but how about if we have quadruplicate numbers. So Daniel would be 1111, BC would have 2222, I would be 4444 and so on. Persian would still most likely get the James Bond number of 7777, but I could live with that. (Maybe since he gets the cool number, he doesn't get as expensive of gifts :) ). And when then tenth member arrive he/she would become 1010. And then the eleventh would be 1111. No wait thats already Daniel's number. Never mind double-oh numbers it is.

And by the way, Persian would already be in the club if he had not made 53 posts under WhitePersian instead of his normal White Persian persona. But as a consolation he will hold the distinction of being the only CBN member to be a double-Premium Member and also will permanently be the Premium Member with the fewest posts.

Well, komodo dragon does smell a bit when simmering, but once cooked it tastes delicious.

that sounds a little odd. Ham, pork pie, pickels. I thought he would send a letter, or an autograph. Oh, so everybody gets different things. This club sounds neat. I still have a long way to go before I can join. Can't wait though. :)

Careful, if Pierce Brosnan reads that you eat Dolphin, he might take offense! ;-)

I'll have to take your word on the dragon, the dolphin, and the Minke. I prefer to eat lizards and fish that are smaller than me!
