It's never too early to start, Q, Baby!A bit early, eh?
Pitchers prefer to warm up in the bullpen . . . rather than coming straight off the bench!

For me, he was the right Bond at the wrong time.

Thanks for two amazing James Bond thrillers; the beginning of the modern Bond film. And thanks for all your wonderful and interesting movie projects, you are excellent in everyone I had the pleasure to watch.

A most valid and salient fact, my dear SecretAgentFan --You were a great Bond. The series survived because of you, too.
-- and, on behalf of DALTON-lovers the world around, thank you so much for bringing this to the attention of the general public!

I'd like to take the opportunity to thank Mr. Dalton for laying the foundation for the new direction that the Bond series is currently taking. A debt of gratitude is owed for bringing the series closer to its roots, and away from the slapstick comedy that marked the Roger Moore era and postponing the overblown action films that would eventually follow.
And, oddly enough, with myself being the avid Dalton fan that I am, I just noticed that, one year ago, I registered for the forum on Mr. Dalton's birthday (I didn't realize it at the time for some reason).
A very happy birthday, indeed, Mr.Dalton. You were a great Bond. The series survived because of you, too.
Very well said.

Cool! How appropriate! Happy anniversary tdalton!
Thanks
It's been a great ride, discussing the search for a new Bond and the greatness of Dalton's great (and unforunately short) tenure as Bond.
We missed you in '91 and '93.
As someone else said, we can only speculate on how great Dalton's unmade Bond films would have been. As everyone says, every actor's third Bond film is generally their best, and with TLD and LTK both in my Top 5, I can only imagine how amazing a third Dalton Bond film would have been.
Once again, Happy Birthday Mr. Dalton.

Happy Birthday to the best of the James Bond actors, Timothy Dalton.

That is a beautiful sentiment, tdalton. It would be wonderful if Mr. Dalton read what you wrote.
And, oddly enough, with myself being the avid Dalton fan that I am, I just noticed that, one year ago, I registered for the forum on Mr. Dalton's birthday (I didn't realize it at the time for some reason).
It was an omen!!!!!
And it just goes to prove that events do not occur in a vacuum -- there is always a reason behind them!

Same here.I became a fan of Dalton after Flash Gordon and I always thought he'd be perfect for Bond so when I read in the paper that he was the new Bond(in '86 on a Saturday morning) I was thrilled because I thought Brosnan was too young, too pretty and would be Roger Moore 2. Thank God for the Daltonmiester!
I found out on Aug. 6, which became a landmark date for me later on as the day I was married.

60... wow. He's getting old.
Well, they say you're as young as the woman you feel. So he's really only 34!
