You are (or at least might be) correct.I thought he turned 62 today. All the same, Happy Birthday.
Timothy Peter Dalton was born on March 21, 1944.
p.s. although it should be noted that my source on his B-day is imdb.com...not exactly the Federal Registry. But when Dalton was announced as Bond...20 years ago...I don't recall him being of a "round number" age. Other sites are citing 1946 as his birth year. We need a ruling here.

I agree with the above statements, deeply! And a very happy birthday and many happy returns to a GREAT BOND and a wonderful actor!Happy Birthday to the best of the James Bond actors, Timothy Dalton.
I'd like to take the opportunity to thank Mr. Dalton for laying the foundation for the new direction that the Bond series is currently taking. A debt of gratitude is owed for bringing the series closer to its roots, and away from the slapstick comedy that marked the Roger Moore era and postponing the overblown action films that would eventually follow.
And, oddly enough, with myself being the avid Dalton fan that I am, I just noticed that, one year ago, I registered for the forum on Mr. Dalton's birthday (I didn't realize it at the time for some reason).A very happy birthday, indeed, Mr.Dalton. You were a great Bond. The series survived because of you, too.
Very well said.

'If they were me and I was you,
would you have liked a present too?
Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday'
Happy birthday to you Tim, one of the best Bonds and - in many respects - one of the most important in establishing the direction of the series.

According to Debra, who founded and runs THE TIMOTHY DALTON CHAT GROUP, and who has devoted some twenty years to following Mr. DALTON'S career, he was born in 1946.
According to THE TIMOTHY DALTON OFFICIAL HOME PAGE, he was born in 1946. Following is a quote from that site:
The bio from the Carnegie Hall program reads as follows: "Timothy Dalton is widely considered as one of the last of the breed of swashbuckling, classically trained Shakespearean actors who have simultaneously forged successful careers in theater, television and film. In 1967, Peter O'Toole recommended the 21-year old Dalton for . . ..
The person who founded the Home Page has also devoted many, many years of research on Mr. DALTON's career. From what I have read of him, he does not strike me as the type of individual who would put his imprimatur on anything which was not 100% accurate. Neither is he the type who would be sufficiently vain to lie about his age.
IMDB, while certainly a wealth of information, often obtains much of this information simply from whoever submits the first article on the subject.

I'll still prefer him as Bond now if he got chosen.
Better to have gotten 2 films from Dalton then none at all, tis life.
