Update:

Order now - 16 page programme celebrating the leading ladies

Since the original thread on this topic was closed, I've started a new thread to find out who, if any, CBners are going. I'd like to go, and knowing that there will be other CBners attending might give me the push I need to RSVP before March 9th.

I'm going.

If it's half as good as their other events, it'll be a damn fine day!

Haven't been able to get tickets yet. I thought I was one of the first to respond to the event, but apparently people went bananas when these tickets went on sale!

Not too sure of the spelling, but it seems to fit the query.

I got a pretty good deal out of Denver when I bought airline tickets about a month ago: $501. That's an excellent price for June/July travel to Europe. Yahoo! has a great new service called FareChaser that compares all the big travel sites prices for you and then you can just book from there.

Incidently, The Who is playing Hyde Park that day.

I'll be in Europe from June 20-July 19 -- but I probably won't be at the Bond Girls event.

And indeed, you did. That price is GONE. I'll continue to dig around, but am content that I will be in London come November for the premiere.

I'm still hammering out the details of the trip at the moment so I can't say for sure. I'm thinking I'll be in Turkey, Greece or even Egypt around that time, though.

Equally Excellent my friend....

But for the record, no matter how many pints are consumed, we ARE NOT sneaking into Pinewood or the 007 stage...

Remind me of this post while we're waiting to be bailed out.

Where to start though?

As you know, I think there's only three or four pubs in London and they're difficult to find.

It may require some research...

For pubs, might I suggest the Bishop's Mitre (The Best Pub In The World TM)off Hatton Garden.

Hidden in the folds of the diamond district, it dispenses wonderful ale (in dimpled pint pots) in surroundings built 500 years ago. And, it is not a McPub.
This is also where the movie Snatch opens...

Similarly olde worlde is the Seven Stars on Carey Street which is a bar frequented by the Bar...

I would also suggest The Blue Posts on Rupert Street (so convivial).

My favourite beer is in De Hems which is a Dutch pub serving a range of Low Country beers (en het lekkerste wijfies !)

The Blues Bar on Kingly Street is also good craic (esp. on open mic nights - get your shades on).

I could go on and on but will save that for the pub crawl which I would like to join you guys on....

Who said we'd need to sneak into Pinewood, Bryce? :D

I agree that some research into this whole "pub situation" is definately in order, though.
