The phrase "property of a lady," while I know is a Fleming short story title, unfortunately reminds me of the auction scene in OP, which makes me shudder.

If Property Of A lady was meant to be Dalton's third film, then perhaps it might have been written espicailly for the Dalton's Bond character. Dark and gritty like LTK was.

If Property Of A Lady became the title and sequel to CR, then the writing of the script wouldn't need much alterations, because it would be dark and gritty and suitable for DC character of Bond.

IMO Property Of A Lady doesn't sound all that 'Bondish'. It would be quite hard to sing the title theme too.

Meh - bit of a wussy title, I think. It works for a Fleming story but not for the idiom of the films. Shouldn't there be something about death or dying or spies in there?

For a title, I would like to see "Property of a Lady" as long as the story can somehow justify the use of this. For example, it could be an item in the new story, or perhaps even Bond playing bodyguard for a woman, thus being her property (I know, it comes straight out of TWINE, but I am only giving examples).

However, there has to be some sort of corrolation between the title and the story. Personally, I could imagine this title being used for a movie where Bond goes after dossiers that (spoiler to CR):

That Risico logo is AWESOME. One of the best logos I've ever seen. I would very much like to see another Fleming title for Bond 22.

I want to see RISICO as the title of a Bond film. I'm dying for a one word title again, and I don't know why they haven't used this yet.

Yeah, yeah, I know the argument; "But what does risico mean?"

I also think that RISICO would work as a title. But I don't see it happening. I think that MGW pretty much dismissed it being used in the 1987 edition of BONDAGE magazine.

Still, I personally think it has a very Bondian title. It's much better than Casino Royale, which I think will be the hardest obstacle facing the Sony marketing department in November.

lol, yeah. They can do pretty much anything with the title Risico. I'd love for them to do it and just not explain it. That'd be awesome. Who cares why it's called that. No one really understands "A View to a Kill" (although at least when you know the backstory to the title for the short story it makes sense) - they tried to tie the title with the movie and it ended up being one of the worst lines I've ever heard in a film (Zorin: "Wow! What a view!" Mayday: "To a kill" - what the !?! ) lol

Seriously, it's not like "Tomorrow Never Dies" means anything. Ok.. so the original title was 'lies' and that makes sense, but 'dies' does not. Not at all. See.. who cares.

Agree, Tomorrow Never Lies doesn't make sense for me at all. Tomorrow Never Dies is much better.

What.. How the does that even relate to the story? I'm not saying it doesn't mean anything at all, I meant that in context to the actual story.

I'm not arguing which is a better title, I don't care. 'Lies' just makes sense, while 'Dies' does not. Lest you forget, "Tomorrow" was the name of the newspaper. Get it?
