I think they should revive the title and script of Property Of A Lady that was almost used for Dalton's third film as Craig's second film.

I got the idea from here:
3rd Dalton Script
CBN Thread

It is a Fleming short story title, I havent read it nor know how much the supposed created script resembles the story but perhaps they both can be adapted and updated to the present day.

Property of a Lady is already used in Octopussy.

However, it would indeed make a great title for Bond 22.

IIRC, it's been awhile since I've read it so I could be wrong, weren't some elements from that 3rd Dalton script used for TND and DAD?

i think property would be an excellent title, but i also agree with undertaker's wind, whisper of hate and of course....shatterhand!

perhaps we should think about minor bits and pieces from flemings books that havent been used that could be thrown together at a later date... (sorta like linking bits together for FYEO)

I prefer those titles as well, but The Property of a Lady would be a great title for a future Bond film. Really, for me, as long as it's a title taken from the work of Fleming, it's fine with me.

Loving it.. as long as it's not confused publicly with Nicole Kidman's 'Portrait of a Lady'.

And THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH was used in ON HER MAJESTY'S SECRET SERVICE. I don't see a problem with making it the title of BOND 22 as long as the plot has nothing to do with Faberge eggs. Make it about (this is just off the top of my head, so forgive the total lack of thought that's gone into this) a villainess with a property empire who rents safe houses to gangsters and terrorists, and Bob's yer uncle.

The only problem with THE PROPERTY OF A LADY is that it sounds like a Merchant Ivory film.

"Property Of A Lady" would've been appropriate as a title for Bond 13 or Bond 19 but it's not a universial title that works for any type of Bondfilm, like TWINE or DAD.

"The Undertakers Wind" sounds like a very cool title, at least for us foreigners.

True. Some kind of emphasis will have to be placed on the Bond girl (or a femme fatale perhaps).

I don't know. "The Undertaker's Wind" sounds like "The Flatulent Mortician"

I'm a bit tired of the typical Bond film name. Let's reboot Bond titles too while we're at it. I like all the suggestions so far. I'm still only as far as FYEO in reading Fleming's originals, but I'll keep my eye open for good ones along the way!

Well, the site says that one draft of the third Dalton outting involved the handover of Hong Kong. The original draft of TND was also about the hand over of Hong Kong, and was vastly superior to the final product.

In that draft of TND, Harmsway (to be renamed Carver) stole weapons grade plutonium and planed to destroy Hong Kong with a nuclear mealtdown when the put the WGP into a normal nuclear reatcor. When that draft went down the crapper, guess what other Bond movie stole that idea?

I would agree with you there. It's a shame, since it is a good title. I suppose they could get away with it with the right marketing campaign though. The other thing is that OP's already used the meat of that short story, so what exactly would the Property be?

I want to see RISICO as the title of a Bond film. I'm dying for a one word title again, and I don't know why they haven't used this yet.

Yeah, yeah, I know the argument; "But what does risico mean?"

Who cares!? What's Octopussy or Moonraker mean or Tomorrow Never Dies for that matter? It will make sense in context.

James Bond Will Return
in
RISICO

Me like.

I think they'll start remaking the old titles, like Man With the Golden Gun. Cool title, old movie, not a particularly good old movie either. But a cool title.

When someone told me that the film after GE was going to be called Tomorrow Never Dies, my first reaction was, "They've finally done it, Bond's going to time travel." Context, as you say, is everything, and Risico is no worse a title than any of the other Fleming titles that don't make sense outside of the context of the novel/film.

I remember sitting in the theater at the end of FYEO and when the title came up that "James Bond would return in Octopussy", people laughed, including me. This was before I knew there was a book/short story called Octopussy. I said to my brother, "That's gotta be a joke."

Now I worship at the temple of Octopussy.

Pretty cool looking title you've got there Mister Asterix. The c and the double-ohs reminds me of the radiation warning logos you see at nuclear power plants. And that would signify very much risico indeed.

What I love about that RISICO logo of Mr. *'s is that it fits the style of CASINO ROYALE's as well. It has that excellent, cool, retro vibe.

That logo has made me fall in love with title.

Ditto. It's kind of amazing how some styling with the 007 logo can make a graphic title look all the better - this one for Casino Royale is one of the best in years IMO.
