That's good news. While I didn't bemoan the tux's absence, I did want it to appear (a tux just feels right for casino scenes).I don't know why Craig said he wouldn't be wearing a tux in it. I think he was kidding. The tux is actually a big part of the beginning of the casino sequence. Wait and see.

Yes, there's a gun barrell (that's the "origin" imagery, that 00 license-issuing part that Latino Review mentioned).
You mean the gunbarrel's after the pre-credits sequence (where Bond does his two kills in order to get his Double-O status), kicking off the opening credits sequence? The finale in Venice owes a lot to THE THIRD MAN.
So Venice is where Bond and Vesper have their holiday? For some reason, I always assumed it'd be the Bahamas.
I'd deduce there's a sewer/canal chase (probably partially in boats and partially on foot) involving Bond/Vesper and either Le Chiffre or whomever shot Le Chiffre from that nugget of info.

THIRD MAN in terms of chases/suspense not location. And come to think of it there really is only one big explosion but plenty of action, incl. that rumored race across rooftops stuff.
Ah, so Campbell was right. Thanks for the info Stax!

First: Pre Credits Sequence
Second: The GunBarrel sequence
Third: the credits/theme song sequence, and then the movie.
is that, the order, Stax?
I Like it.
the pre-credits sequence before the gunbarrel gives it a real cool touch, it will leave people surprised and shocked for moments, and then at the end of the sequence we have the GREAT gunbarrel sequence and we see the relief on their faces. great!

Unfortunately it sounds like they've blown some of the best parts. I hope those items have been fixed in rewrites (It was dated December).

So, if understand well, we have:
First: Pre Credits Sequence
Second: The GunBarrel sequence
Third: the credits/theme song sequence, and then the movie.
is that, the order, Stax?
I Like it.

Given the piece of music with which the gunbarrel must be accompanied, it seems likely that the opening credits of CASINO ROYALE will feature an instrumental track, presumably starting off with a version of The James Bond Theme that serves as the intro into something new penned by Arnold (in collaboration again with Propellerheads, hopefully). It just seems harder to imagine seeing the gunbarrel, hearing The James Bond Theme, and then going right into "Casino Royale" or "A Whisper of Love, A Whisper of Hate", or some new song by George Michael or some other Sony artist. That's possible, though, obviously - just harder to imagine, for some reason.
This is assuming that the gunbarrel will kick off the opening credits, obviously.

How many action scenes are there in Act 2 and 3?
You said there would be small gadgets. Will the new Aston Martin have gadgets?
Does Vesper actually die in the end? If so, does she kill herself or does somebody else kill her?
Thanks again.

The gunbarrel sequence is actually the scene where Bond shoot the surveillance camera.
That ends up on the cover of all major newspapers the next day.
I suppose... it makes sense... what do you guys think ?

Stax, so just to clarify again does the gunbarrel sequence take place at the very begining of the movie like it usually does or after the PTS????
I hope they just keep it as it always has been.
Yes Chicago103, thats something thats worrying me too.. I hope that they do the gunbarrel at the very beginning (which I'm sure they'll do) and then go into the whole pre-title sequence..

Thats already well into the film, it wouldn't make sense just to stop for a second for the gun barrel.
I would like to see it at the begining as we usually do but I won't have a problem if it's the begining of the title sequence(ala FRWL video game).

What's funny about what I'm hearing about the gunbarrel is that all these years people who didn't know it was a gunbarrel assumed it was a camera aperture. And from the sound of things that might just be true in this case (albeit a video camera, some of which do have mechanical apertures). In any case I had a feeling there would be some sort of change-up there.
So, is this thing available on Kazaa or some other P-2-P yet?

How is the precredits scene? It seems too short; Bond killing two people. Is there a fight or something? Does it end with someone informing Bond about his success?
Too short? I'm glad it's short, after we had teasers that were nearing the 20 minute mark it's nice to see a nice short teaser.

Maybe Stax wants to leave some aspects of the script a mystery. Afterall, we don't want to know it all now, do we?
Erm, yes! (Some of us do, at least. )

THIRD MAN in terms of chases/suspense not location.
Cracking. A Bond film with suspense- not actually seen for 20 years.

Couldn't agree more. The "teasers" of DAD and TWINE don't tease, they burn you out. They are way too long and convoluted. When I watch the DVDs of these films, I actually skip the teasers and start the movie with the titles. A short simple teaser ala FRWL sounds bossanova, man.

Well he did kind of explain it, saying it was part of the title sequence.I see we're all curious about the gunbarrel. Come on Stax spill the beans like you told me in the e-mail you would!
