Hi
I'm new,
Does anybosy here know whether craig is going to dye his hair or not for the part?
Have any mods got an idea as to what it will look like at the end?

I for one hope it stays.

Well, this is the one and only publicity photo of Daniel Craig as James Bond, and he ain't blond. It may be just the lighting in that photo, or he tends to look less blondish when his hair is cut shorter. But either way, it won't be like Christopher Walken in AVTAK or anything.

But I'm guessing that his hair will be as long and blonde as it is at the press conferece:
www.mi6.co.uk/sections/articles/images/james_bond_6_press_conference2.jpg
www.mi6.co.uk/sections/articles/images/james_bond_6_press_conference1.jpg

But his hair is blonde in the photo look very very closely, put it in Word and put the light up and it is very noticealby blonde.

Can any mods spread any light on it after all they are very well tuned to all Bond on goings.

Also are there any more shots of craig posign as 007 that the mods have got thier hands on, just wondering.

He really should go black. He'd look like James Bond if he did.

sorry,
Anyway look at this from the set of his new flick:
http://www.clasos.co...&categoria=news

I like the look, he should keep it.

Does anybody know for sure whether it's goign or staying?
In a hello or OK interview Craig said that he had not been asked to dye it.

I think his hair looks fine, as long as he doesn't grow a full beard, Tom Selleck mustache or anything else silly. NO MULLET!

I think that Craig looks fine with the blonde hair. I would like him to at least darken it a bit, but it won't be a huge deal for me if he leaves it the way it was at the press conference.

I think it should be darker but these shots make it look just a tiny bit lighter than Roger's hair was in a few of the films. He didn't exactly have dark brown hair you know.

If CASINO ROYALE is to be a BOND BEGINS reboot, there's room for a little innovation here.

Let Craig's Bond have blonde hair (fairly long) at the start of the film, a la the press conference look (which will really rub it in for the Craig-haters  ).

And then Bond must go undercover, for the mission, and for some reason it's decided that he must change his look slightly (as a guy who's already familiar with many of the world's leading casinos, there's a small chance that some other globetrotting gambler may recognise him and blow his cover).

So along with the first use of the Aston Martin, the explanation of why Bond likes his martini a certain way, etc., comes the first appearance of the traditional James Bond 007 look, as Craig dyes his hair black and goes off on his first major assignment looking rather like he does in SYLVIA. And since the events of the film change the character forever and mould him into The Seasoned Pro Bond We All Know And Love™, he ends up keeping it that way.

Given that they seem to be breaking all the rules and making up new ones with CR, I wouldn't be too surprised if they ended up doing something like that. Seriously. I mean, did any of us think we'd ever see Bond with long hair and a bushy beard?

First off, welcome to CBn, Lemony Snicket.

And I agree with you, I too would like Craig to stay Blonde for the role, but I do think he should go with dying his hair a darker-colored Blonde. Something like a Golden Dark Blonde.

I reckon they'll probably give him a slightly darker rinse. Similar to how he looked in Sword of Honour, perhaps. But nothing too extreme.

See, now I think that color is a bit do Dark. Daniel Craig's Blonde hair makes him look more young than when he has dark hair like that, but we wouldn't want a Platinum Blonde Bond, so chances are that Craig will darken his hair slightly got get the Bond look. I bet that people involved with Casino Royale feel the same way.

Bleaching it can, apparently, if you do it for too long. I think dye per se is alright.

I think Dan the Man looks just fine in the publicity shot. Indeed, he looks like...James Bond!

That's correct. If you bleach your hair then you are actually destryoing the natural color, where if you dye it, you are only covering up the natural color. I learned that in Forensic Chemistry last year.

Quoted for THE TRUTH! I think Craig will be great, yellow haired or not.

Although, for what it's worth, I think the color his hair was during the press conference would be perfect. And I do like that idea of him having to dye his hair for the mission, although if done badly it could wind up like the OHMSS script outtake where Bond undergoes plastic surgery...

DANIEL CRAIG is NOT the first blonde 007.

ROGER MOORE WAS A BLONDE BOND BEFORE HIM !!!!

Bond used to be tall, dark and handsome and he'll now be of fair height, fair complexion, and fairly OK to look at.

Besides dying his hair black, I do so hope he shaves. I don't know how I'd fell about a Bond with a five o'clock shadow.

I like it too. Maybe not a five O'clock shadow, but more like a Three:Twenty-four Shadow. Seriously. Just when it becomes more than stubble, but not exactly a beard.
