He is good, Mr. Larsen -- no argument there at all! But I do think he should be a bit more forthcoming with the press, as it will add to the success of the movie at the box office.I dont know so much about him, but in what ive seen i think he is good, ;b
Of all the Bonds, Timothy Dalton was the finest actor, coming to the role as he did with over twenty years as an acclaimed classical stage actor. However, during his tenure as Bond, he was never truly at his ease with the intense scrutiny of the press; this turned out to be unfortunate for him, and for the franchise, as well.
Meanwhile, welcome to CBn, Mr. Larsen. Wow! you work fast: eight posts in your first hour!

You just think so because he looks just like you, hcmv007!Now, do I think he is good looking (I am secure enough to ask this)? Yes, he has that same ruggedness that a young Sean Connery had when he started out.

I'll drink to that! (ooops! it's only 8:30 in the morning!)I think Craig will bring the same intensity to the role Timothy Dalton did so well, and I think he will win us all over w/ his Bond portrayal.

That's what Irish coffee is for.

And anyway, never too early if Mr. Dalton is involved! (I agree with both you of you btw.)

What a great suggestion, Sharky, dear! Now, why can't everyone be as thoughtful and clever as you?

Dalton, while a brave choice as Bond, was the wrong type of personality to have as James Bond. He did not deal well with the media, and he did not exactly endear himself to them.
The above quote, from the thread "Was Dalton 'Trapped'?" illustrates the point that some of us were trying to make on the previous pages. Whether or not one likes, or respects, the media, it is never a good idea to ignore them.
