Halle Berry? Ugh!!

Two Bond "Women" in DAD who were both like stale, overly-stewed tea bags!

I hope we get to see her tattoos, they're usually covered with makeup. Her tattoos are pretty sexy.

that is one of the exact reasons why I don't want her. A totally tatooed, vulgar woman as Vesper?? please!
That is nothing like Vesper.
I understand men like her, but sorry, the woman disgusts me! no offense to her fans, it's just my honest reaction when I see her! (or even worse, when I hear her talk about her sexual preferences and habits).
Let's have Jolie, yes. And why not have Jean Claude Van Damme play Le Chiffre at that point. They'd make up a good pair.

As long as that's all she stays - an idea, and not reality.

I like Angelina Jolie and wouldn't be disappointed if she was cast as Vesper Lynd, but I don't think she's quite right for the role. Superficially, she looks pretty close to a Vesper and she proved she could do an English accent with Tomb Raider, but she has a harder and rougher edge to her that Vesper simply does not have. As a result, the producers should go with someone else.

Many people don't think that Daniel Craig is right for the role of James Bond. But that did not stop him from being cast in the role. So it wouldn't be completely off kilter for the role of Vesper to go to Jolie. I truly hope she gets it.

I am not interested in whether the rumour is true or false, I'm only interested in the final outcome.. which to me should be.. NO Jolie, thank you! lol
And if she is in, I'll take the chance to travel to either LA to meet Sony outside their main entrance with a basket of flowers for them (after finding out they are allergic of course) or to travel to England and sing horrible songs outside Eon's headquarters and tear their ears apart until they overturn the decision and announce that Jolie is NOT going to be in! lol :D

The fact that Cecile de France auditioned for the role shows that EON are most likely going for an unknown for this role.
Vesper Lynd is too important to be played by Angelina.
The role should be played by an unknown british actress.
I didn't wait all these years just to see it be played by a famous american actress.

Don't get me wrong, although Jolie is not my cup of tea, some of her philanthropic work OUTSIDE of acting is quite respectable. It takes a lot balls to adopt a kid with AIDs. I have to give her due in this area.

There's a quick news submission from The Post Chronicle where, supposedly, Angelina was approached to play Vesper but, Jolie insisted the role needed toughening up before she was willing to accept. Until Vesper is actually cast, we may never know whether Angelina was asked but, Vesper is not Mrs.Smith or Lara Croft. If she actually were a tough character, she wouldn't have done alot of what she did in the book.
