Is there a Bond scene or film that is your James Bond "comfort food"?
Mine is the pre-credit sequence from The Living Daylights. After I watch that - I am on top of the world.
I also love watching Lazenby beat the snot out of the beach thugs in OHMSS - but then I get caught up and have to watch the whole thing.

If I do need to comfort myself with a full dose of Bond any of the following are the one's I initially reach for.
FRWL
LTK
YOLT
TSWLM
MR
OHMSS
GE

I also get "revved up" from the title sequences and music rolling from OHMSS and GE.

GE - in and around the shootout in the archives
TND - the shootout on the stealth boat
DAD - Pierce walking into the hotel after he's just escaped from the ship and swam through the harbor
I know that feeling Blofeldblows, watch LTK...try not to dwell on it...it feels like

[quote name='blofeldblows' date='20 October 2005 - 14:41']As of this post i need some comfort food. Had a rough day at school. Didn't know the girl i was going after had a guy.......Any suggestions as to what i should watch?
Tough break pal, I've been there. Maybe not a movie, but a hell of a lot of Sinatra and a few Martini's. "I Guess I'll have to Change my Plans" Song should do the trick.
"I guess I'll have to change my plan
I should have realized there'd be another man......."
Or if that fails... "The Lady is a Tramp" lol.
But don't worry, plenty of Bond Girls out there for you....

Not here wanting sympathy or anything but i feel like i should elaborate.
I'll give it anyway because I know how that is, the last 2 years have not been good to me and in the last month it's all been washed away. People were worried about me because I was walking around smiling a few days ago. The worst thing you can do is let it bother you to the point of shutting down. From experience, you'll find someone single...and she'll be just as great if not better.
but i honestly think i would start balling in tears if i had to watch OHMSS right now. LTK could work.
Been there. LTK works and Batman is definitely a great choice too.

Not here wanting sympathy or anything but i feel like i should elaborate. This girl and i have had great conversations and we've had great times together in class and just but in my 6th hour i went over to talk to her at her computer and she had her email up from her boyfriend. It was awkward because she asked why did i have that look on my face...I think she knew what i meant by my expression. Moral of the day: Always find out if the girl is single before you go after her. Pretty hard to take right now, but i honestly think i would start balling in tears if i had to watch OHMSS right now. LTK could work.
You could always watch the spa scene or the helicopter pulling away scene in Goldeneye, or in TWINE, right after Zukovsky "frees" Bond from the torture chair ("I never miss") --- good for what ails you.

Any of the SE DVD "Inside" docs. If I don't feel like a whole Bond film, the Behind-the-scenes stuff is great.
Agree. Those things are quite good.
As for actual movie or scenes from the movies, my comfort food lies mainly in the Brosnan era, since it was the era that really got me into Bond. Tomorrow Never Dies was the one that started it all for me, so that's certainly one to reach for.

I agree with Tony: ("Make that two hours" from TLD's pre-title sequence) --
I also love the 3 trailers on the "extras" section of the TLD DVD:
BOND. DANGEROUS. DALTON.
-- and . . . I have to admit . . . don't tell Timothy I said this, but --
-- almost every minute of Goldfinger. It's the ultimate early sixties movie!

A couple of imported German beers - Franziskaner dark is a particular favourite - are also a must.

No need to "import" those. Not from where I'm standing.

Mmm. Franziskaner.
Bond comfort food:
FRWL - entire movie, but in particular: Bond searching the hotel room for bugs, then tosses the phone on the bed but keeps the receiver in his hand.
TSWLM - special comfort is the precredits, usually get hooked on it. Also: "sillouhette" shot in doorway before entering Fekesh's house.
OHMSS - particularly: barn escape - ski chase - avalanche

If you are not familiar with the term "comfort food", it means a snack or a meal that puts you in a good mood, maybe something you reach for when you are feeling down.

Whenever I work on the computer and want some background noise, I put on Moonraker or Octopussy.
But my comfort is always watching the pre-title sequences. I can watch those over and over again in one sitting sometimes.
