I'm not buying this because I'm sure it'll be re-released soon as a 2-disc special edition. Probably around the time of the Casino Royale release date.

Ah, I see. In the states, we have a nice two-disc set with a lovely box and all.In the States, maybe. In Britain, and, judging by BC's post, Australia, it's a single-disc affair with virtually no extras, just a short introduction by Spielberg and a featurette, if I remember correctly.

Finally saw this and was wholly un-blown away. It's message feels a bit simplistic and as an undercover thriller it's not that thrilling (kill someone, go somewhere else; kill someone there). And just in case we don't understand what he's trying to say Spielberg gets Eric Bana to practically turn to the camera in the last scene and explain the 'message'; just like he thought we had to have the plot explained to us in Minority Report three times. Sometimes it feels like he has contempt for the audience nowadays.
It's not a bad film, but it's far from the masterpiece it wants to be.

It's as Loomis says about the Australian situation, but it's nice to know that there actually IS a 2-disc version "out there" somewhere.Ah, I see. In the states, we have a nice two-disc set with a lovely box and all.
