I agree that the OHMSS and TLD Bond entrances are the way to go. The mystery surrounding the new 007's appearance is important and sets the audience up with eager anticipation. Bond needs to be on an assassination/para-milatary type mission. But then something goes wrong and instead of using any standard weapons or gadgets, he has to use his fists or whatever is handy against one or two heavies a la the PTS of Thunderball. No explosions, no heavy gunfire, just danger and suspense. At the end he kills the bad guy(s) in a hard-edge, gritty manner, saves a girl, and then the two prepare to get better acquainted. And just before the credits come up, he says to himself something like: "This is something I can get used to."

What will the Casino Royale pre-title sequence be?

I hope there come up with something better than Moonraker's pts. I was MR in a theater full of Bond fans. And after the pts, there was booing and hissing through-out the whole theater. True story.

Most likely because of Jaws. Remove him and it was a cool PTS. At least in my opinion anyway.
