It's about an old Balck man, Robert Freeman, who takes his two young, trouble making grandsons out of urban Chicago to live in a very White, upperclass, surburb. Everybody should give this show a chance.

CSI(all three, but I can only watch Vegas now, catch the other 2 in Summer)
NCIS (miss Sasha Alexander, but the new babe aint bad)
Without a Trace (Poppy Montgomery!)
House-my favorite show. House is just like me, except I'm not yet crippled, but close.
Arrested Developement-Funniest show on TV (Live Action)
Boston Legal-James Spader and William Shatner (Denny Crane!) make this show worth watching.
Family Guy-New season has had it's moments, but a little down
American Dad-Unfunny in the start, now w/ Patrick Stewart in the cast, this show has gotten funnier.
The Simpsons-Most recent Treehouse of Horror-Best Halloween Episode Ever!
Smallville-the stories have stunk, but Kristen Kruek, Allison Mack and Erica Durance are just to hot to pass up,
Football-College, NFL, Canadian, Arena-whenever there's a game on
Sportscenter
I primarily watch shows on Tues and Thurs nights
Cable
The Shield
Nip/Tuck
Battlestar Galctica
Greats that are no longer w/us:
MASH-until Radar left, I think it was the eighth season
Knight Rider-my favorite show as a kid, can't wait until all four seasons are out on DVD!
Star Trek and ST:TNG
Perry Mason-still great after all these years, would make a great DVD!
Remington Steele-okay, I had a crush on Stephanie Holt as a 7 yr old. Oh yeah, and Pierce Brosnan was cool, I discovered this show around the same time I discovered 007.
SNL-Original cast thank you very much. Nobody after 1984 except Myers, Carvey, and of course Will Ferrel and any episode hosted by Christopher Walken, Alec Baldwin or John Goodman.
Titus-I loved that show!
Working-the 1st season, the changes in the second season killed the show (Damn shame too, b/c that show had so much potential)
NYPD Blue-Sipowicz. I prefer the first two seasons, then from 1998-2005.
Looney Tunes-have to settle for the DVD's. LOVED THIS STUFF!

Stephanie Zimbalist, or Laura Holt? Methinks you've confused the actress and the character. Dead on about Family Guy, though - why is the new season lame-ish? For my money, no episode so far could beat "Death Lives." "Wear your coat! You'll get frostbite!" "I DON'T HAVE SKIN!" "That's because you didn't eat your beans!"

Yeah, I got the names confused. I relaized it about 2 hours after my post. Laura Holt! Last night's Family Guy was funny!

!
Although the rest of the supporting cast is excellent. I'm warming up to the new three regulars, but I really wish Monica Potter and Rhona Mitra never left the show.
Yeah, but the two new ladies do make the show worth watching too!

Yes, they're both fitting into the roles. It's nice that the new three are finally associating with the regulars in the episodes now. For the first three or so episodes of this season, they seemed to be completely on their own.

- ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT - I'm willing to bet this is my favorite show of all time. The cast is perfect, the scripts are funny, clever, subtle and not-so-subtle in their attacks on the real world. I honestly can't think of one bad thing about this series. It's just so clever -- I love it.
- RESCUE ME - Brilliant. Very few shows manage to make you go through the entire range of emotions in an episode. This is one of those shows.
- THE AVENGERS - Emma Peel episodes mainly, but there are some goodies elsewhere.
- THE PERSUADERS! - I only wish the series had lasted longer
- THE SAINT - Roger Moore playing Simon Templar as he should have played James Bond.
- THE PRISONER - Interesting concept, smart and captivating with the exception of two or three episodes. Very few shows pull me into their world the way this does.
- DANGER MAN - Fast-paced, fun and darn good. Love that Patrick McGoohan
- LITTLE BRITAIN - It's dumb, rude and offensive. I like it.
- MONTY PYTHON'S FLYING CIRCUS - See LITTLE BRITAIN.
- DEADWOOD - The town I was born in. I can't NOT like it.
- THE CRITIC - Racy for the early 1990's. Weird. Good and sometimes good because it's bad.
- THE JOB - RESCUE ME but with cops and little drama
- I LOVE LUCY - I grew up watching it therefore it's a TV security blanket
- THE GOLDEN GIRLS - See I LOVE LUCY. And Rue McClanahan was my neighbor for a summer
- THE DAILY SHOW - Manages to be more credible and hard-hitting than nearly all serious news programs/networks out there. Smart and funny.
- LATE NIGHT WITH CONAN O'BRIEN - Even though it's often tacky, crude and stupid it's the closest thing to Johnny Carson currently on late night television (and even Carson was all those things from time to time). Enough said.
- THE TONIGHT SHOW WITH JOHNNY CARSON - I will always remember watching Johnny with my mom when I couldn't sleep. Johnny was a comedian that managed to be self-depricating, sincere, funny, and he never alienated or offended anyone (with the exception of, maybe, Charles Grodin every now and then).
- THE TWILIGHT ZONE (the old series) - Always interesting and bizarre things going on. A fun watch and well written.
- ALFRED HITCHCOCK PRESENTS - Similar to the TWILIGHT ZONE. Of course it features and episode that was based of the same story as Roger's THE MAN WHO HAUNTED HIMSELF. I believe the episode even won an Emmy.
- THE OFFICE (UK) - The American version has it's moments but it's a pale comparison to the original. Ricky Gervais is simply brilliant.

I don't really mind if a certain show of mine doesn't get nominated, or to that extent, win an award. But if it is something that clearly should be at least nominated (Lost, Deadwood, Rescue Me,) and it doesn't I just get pissed. Although, only the first season of Rescue Me could have been up for the the last Emmy Awards, so next year It has a great chance of having the second season nominated. Also, Denis Leary should put out an Indie project or two just to earn some points with the voters.
Leary actually did an independent film called DOUBLE WHAMMY that appeared at the Sundance Film Festival back in 2001. It was a comedy with Elizabeth Hurley that was similar to his show THE JOB. Except THE JOB was good whereas DOUBLE WHAMMY was horrific.

Yeah, but that was in 2001. What I'm saying is that if Leary can get an Indie out before the next Emmys, the voters might go, "Hey, Denis Leary was really good in that small film. Wait, doesn't have a really good show? We should watch that." It will get more people interested, and the show will have a better chance of being nominated.

True. Leary needs to be wary of the role he takes so he doesn't end up taking another DOUBLE WHAMMY, though. As he's had some good success recently I think he'll pick good roles in the future, though.

MASH I learned a lot about writing watching this show.
THE RAT PATROL Now if I could just finish my script for a feature version...
X-FILES Awesome until the conspiracy ended. Then it was just above average. I watch the dvds all the time.
THE LONE GUNMEN Hilarious!
BABYLON 5 The best conceived show I've ever seen. Very tight. Great characters. Great actors... once Sinclair left.
24 I'm 4 episodes behind at the moment, but I love the twists on this show. Unrealistic as heck but they make it seem plausible while you watch it. Well written and conceived.
STAR TREK: TNG Except for the first two, abyssimal seasons- but even then there were a couple stand outs.
WISEGUY If you like SOPRANOS, thank Ken Wahl. Another great show that dropped off. Very gritty and cool.
SHERLOCK HOLMES- JEREMY BRETT
PRETENDER I still want answers!
BLACK ADDER Gut aching funny.
MR. BEAN Amazing. Rowan is the best physical comedian I've ever seen.
TINKER, TAILOR, SOLDIER, SPY
SMILEY'S PEOPLE These two series/movies are some of the most engaging filming I've ever seen. The books were great and they managed to capture the quality on film.
HERCULE POIROT- DAVID SUCHET Fantastic.
LOST Yeah, they got me. And the KEPT me. I'm hoping season 2 ends stronger than it's started.
BATTLESTAR GALACTICA- 1979 Okay, only about half of the episodes are good- but the ones that are good are smoking good. And Jane Seymour is always easy on the eyes.
ER I can't believe they actually finish a 22 episode season at this pace. None of the nurses are ever that hot when I go to the hospital! great writing too. I want Michael Crichton to write another episode.
BATMAN THE ANIMATED SERIES The best Batman material ever. MASK OF THE PHANTASM is still the best feature IMO.
SHARPE'S... SEAN BEAN (more movies than a series) Great books, decent adaptations. Could be better but they're still fun.
SMALLVILLE Just started watching in November, but we're all caught up now. Season 4 takes a nosedive for my money (all the Lana/Isobel stuff is just dumb) but overall this is a great show. I avoide dit for a long time just because it was on WB. I guess I lost out...

Alias, Desperate Housewifes, 24 (next season starting soon in the UK!), Rome (next season too far away), My Name is Earl (hilarious) and Lost (although I'll no doubt get fed up with its slowness soon).
