"Oh good morning, Q... how have you been?"
Sean Connery slips comfortably into 007's digital tuxedo

Ign has just added three new videos, including one in which we hear Connery address Q in a cutscene. (Sorry if this is old news, or if his voice has previously been on display in a video- it's the first time I've heard it in the game! :) ) Also, the music seems to be particularly strong in this one.

This game has the potential to be the best Bond game ever by a country mile.

I watched this video over and over - the first moments of Connery as Bond in over 20 years. It was worth the wait. I can not wait to see the finished product.

Great videos I must say. Man what it felt nostalgic to hear Connery talk the Bond way.

I'm not sure Agent 76. I have a similar question about the PSP. Although they said there would be a PSP version I haven't heard about any progress.

thanks.

These days PC games don't seem so influent as PS2 and X-Box games. I'm not a PC game buyer by tradition, but this new From Russia With Love one seems to be cool enough to give it a try.

No word on a PC version, but I'd say it's unlikely. A Bond game hasn't been given that treatment since 2002.

Pity.

Shomething about the Connery voiche jusht doeshn't shound right to me.

He shounds too old. Doesn't shound like Bond any more.

And Q, well, looksh a bit like Deshmond, but shtill looksh different. An obvioush shound-alike, but I can't complain.

(apologies for my terrible Connery-esque typings. My vocal impression isn't that good either)

I felt that way too at first. I shrugged it off as just a quick voice over for the game video.

I have been looking forward to a sound clip of Connery for so long and now I've got it. Hearing Connery's voice feels so nostalgic... but to be honest, I have to agree, he doesn't sound the same as he did when he was Bond. He doesn't really sound like Bond anymore, his accent is far too thick now. Oh well, it still is certainly looking to be an excellent game and I will most definitely but it the moment it is released. God, I just can't wait, November is too far away!

Sean Connery didn't really sound like himself in 1963 but Q sounded exactly like Desmond Llewellyn.

Well, an Okay Desmind soundalike. They cannot use the real thing, sadly. At least they left out John Cleese and that scary bloke from Agent Under Fire.

I've got to be honest and say that Sean actually sounds better than I expected. I always thought he'd sound a little off as he is an old man and an old grumpy man at that, so I'd thought he'd be sulking in some way. But he's actually acting- much better than Brosnan's almost insultingly effortless work in Everything Or Nothing. They've got his walk just right too.
Nice music as well. Although I hope we get some proper John Barry in there too. Just wouldn't be right without it.

Almost sounds like someone trying to do a Sean Connery impression and trying just a little too hard. LOL.

What I really like is he clearly moves like Connery.

Nice find theBritishEnd (this IGN page is really a dynamite FRWL resource), and a great story [dark].

This game is gonna be great. :)

Connery's voice seems out of place with the young Connery as Bond image. The dialogue between Q and Bond seems a bit weak too. I'm a bit disappointed, to be honest.

Well, "Oh good morning, Q. How've you been?" sounded good but then when he continued to say "Busy inventing things?" that just sounded off. Perhaps Feirstein should edit the script and change Bond's lines so that Connery doesn't have to say as many S sounds. Then he'll be fine.

Its only a matter of time until they make an all CGI James Bond movie.

His voice seems to go too high when he says "Things". Nonetheless I saw this yesterday and it is really really cool.

I really hope they gave him some good dialogue, instead of a bunch of throwaway soundbytes.

The cool thing about this is that Connery always pretty much played his age. Even though he was visibly older in DAF and NSNA, he still had that attitude and confidence that screamed, "Look, I AM James Bond." Instead of him trying to sound like his 1960's self, it's cool to get a glimpse of how he would approach the character today.

Well it was written by Bruce Feirstein so it should be pretty good.
