TROPIC THUNDER

What did you think of Tropic Thunder? I saw it at the cinema, and thought it was hilarious. I could just turn my brain off and laugh.

I saw it twice and I love it. I went with my girlfriend the second time and she loved it to (the reason why I bought it for her last night). Extremely quotable and Tom Cruise was amazing. I really loved it. :(

Just received the 2-Disc Director's Cut of this from a buddy. Still haven't seen the movie yet for whatever insane reason, but I'm really looking forward to it.

:( RDJ stole the show! The whole cast was hilarious, no one was totally the star, which was great. Everyone had good material. As much as I hated laughing at Tom Cruise (when he's intentionally funny, that is.) dang I have to hand it to the guy, he was so funny in a refreshingly uncomfortable way. Delightfully obscene as my sister likes to say. :)

It's the best thing Ben Stiller has ever done. I love how it never turns into a 'star' vehicle, it's such a good cast that everyone has a chance to shine. As Matt_13 said it's extremely quotable. RDJ is on a roll as Kirk Lazarus. The pyrotechnic guy is a scream. And I'm not a big fan of Cruise or McConaughey, but they were both terrific in this movie. :) :(

If it weren't for my QOS addiction using my cash up, I'd have bought this dvd for sure.

It's a hilarious film. And that two-disc special edition DVD is packing the fun. Be sure to check out the "Rain of Madness" making-of documentary for a really interesting take on the creation of this.

The last DVD I bought was Kiss: The Second Coming. It's a documentary about the original line-up reuniting and includes some cool rehearsal and concert footage.

For Christmas, I received the following DVDs:

- Casino Royale (3-Disc Collector's Edition)
- Batman Begins
- The Dark Knight
- Paul Stanley: One Live Kiss
- Rush: Snakes & Arrows Live
- The Angry Video Game Nerd (Volume 2)

Christmas brought me three new Blu-Ray films:

THE SHINING
FULL METAL JACKET
THE PURSUIT OF HAPPYNESS

The transfer for THE SHINING was utterly remarkable, if I must say. It alone has made my investment in Blu-Ray well worth it so far.
