Send me a five second example of a track and I'll try to help identifying it (if it's Bond-related, of course).

I'm a huge fan of Guns N' Roses version of Live and Let Die. I actually prefer it to the original.

Maybe I'm just biased because I'm a huge Guns N' Roses fan in general. :cooltongue:

* A song called I Wanna Be A Bondgirl, by some female band (not Bond!!!)

I think you may be refering to a French singer Alizee, who sings a song J.B.G. (James Bond Girl). It was on her Gourmandises album. The song is in French.

Don't forget Ace of Base who pulled out of Goldeneye. They were going to do the title song, but their record company (Arista Records) was afraid the movie might flop (...boy were they wrong) and decided not to be associated with the project anymore. They later changed the words the Goldeneye to the Juvenile and released it on their Da Capo album.

I found this translation of the song:

J.B.G., Bikini
Her codename is
J.B.G., J.B.G.
J.B.G., for life
All over the world it's
The councellor, J.B.G.
A James Bond Girl
No one can escape it
It's the ecstasy
A James Bond Girl
It's dynamite
Her letters are J.B.G.

Oh, she's a canon
Aimed, smoking
A hotshot

Canon, because one
Has to give her everything
The dear god can't resist, because...

And if it gets serious
She takes off her bodice
A beautiful island

Beware where she's going
Without a grain of tact, and
Her blood is no milk

There are many songs with James Bond Girl thematics.

Leroy Holmes' "I Wanna Be A James Bond Girl" is an instrumental composition using the James bond Theme as its basis.

Klasse Kriminale's "James Bond Girl" has probably the most uninspired lyrics of all time. It goes a little something like this: "James Bond Girl, James Bond Girl, James Bond Girl, James Bond Girl, James Bond Girl..."

The 5.6.7.8's "Bond Gird" also samples the James Bond Theme and has superiror lyrics about the life of James Bond girls.

El' Blaszczyk's "James Bond Girl" is a marginally interesting song with girls shouting "Jaaaaaaames Bond Girl". Not much better than Klasse Kriminale's.

Cimarons' "James Bond Girl" is the kind of reggea stuff that I do not really listen to and I can't really make out the lyrics cause the singer is kind of high...

Oh man, Art of Noise did a Bond Theme Cover?! :cooltongue:

Does anyone know what the rest of it sounds like? From the clip on the Cat's site, it sounds like an awesome collision of Art of Noise style 80s cheese techno, and Bond basslines.
