Was that before or after he compared Macs to Ferraris and PCs to Fords? :)
....

Point taken :)

....
Oh, and I presume the first Mac Bond was Dalton using Leiter's computer.

Nope, but you can find the correct answer below:

Ah, actually I think I do remember spotting one!

A View To A Kill - Where Stacey checks out the Earthquake at her house?

And yeah, the Identigraph was a bit of a dishwasher :)

Never had the oportunity to use a Mac, so I don't have a clue what differences there are to a PC.

Ah, the dreaded Mac thread which eventually taints all online forums.

Let's see, I went from a Radio Shack CoCo II to a 286 to a Commodore 64 then a 128 and finally an Amiga 2000. The Amiga blew up in '97 and I've been using Macs ever since. Won't touch anything else until it works better than what Apple offers.

InDesign is kicking Quark's butt, and rightfully so with seamless integration with Illustrator, Acrobat and Photshop. Now Adobe is buying Macromedia, so only expect their position to become even more solid. I took the last magazine I worked on from Quark to InDesign and we saved a week on production time, in part because of high res PDF delivery.

Now, let's not bait the Wintel users. Otherwise the Unix guys will stomp on us for being elitist. It's best not to wake them up.

Lots of fresh design and illustration on my site. All created with the help of Apple and Adobe products.

Ho baby!

I just installed Tiger and it's sweet! Love the widgets and the new spotlight search engine. I was having a terrible time with my Safari lately (had to switch to Firefox), but Toger fixed it. Very, very nice upgrade. :)

I've been hearing about a lot of bugs in Tiger, so I thought I'd put it off for a while. Is all still going well for you, Zencat?

(Speaking of bugs, are you a Final Draft man? Which formatting software would you say works best with OSX?).

Speaking of Firefox- some security holes have been found. Check the mozilla site for downloads.

And at the bottom of that article:

...and recent James Bond movies are all the results of scripts written with Final Draft.

No problems with Tiger so far and, yes, I use Final Draft. I have Movie Magic as a back up, but I never use it. Final Draft was a Mac only application for many, many years so if works great with OSX. My neighbor, also a screenwriter, uses the PC version of FD and it's a little buggy for him (but he still swears by it -- seems most writers do).

Excellent, cheers for that. Quite a few of our lads have switched to Mac and there's been some debate about formatting software, so I'll pass that on to them.

Back OT, I bought my first Mac, a G4 iBook, in November last year and I very much doubt I'll ever go back to a PC. And Tiger should be with me on Monday. :)

There doesn't seem to be anything big in the 200 new features in Tiger that would make a PC user jump ship, though.

There must be something in there that takes your fancy, BC? To be honest, the only reason I switched was because I was so fed up with the endless alerts for spyware, trojans, viruses ... scanning for the bloody things ... removing them ... it never seemed to stop. I've still got my old Vaio with XP installed. There's nothing particularly wrong with it, but I think I've used it twice since I got the iBook.

The only real big thing I like about is that it's a 64bit OS. Finally!

But, MS Longhorn will be out next year (also 64bit), so it'll be interesting to see what it'll have.

I have to admit, there wasn't as many 'exciting' features with Tiger. There was more with Panther. Expose, Fast User Switching etc.

Tiger does bring Spotlight and Dashboard which are damn cool.

From the screenshots I've seen - Longhorn looks damn ugly. The UI seems to have been made by some pre-school kids.

Just bought myself a 6gb iPod mini. Good for music, sure, but it's also a contact manager and file transfer unit.

Now chicks will dig me.

I'm not a huge Mac fan...but I have been using the iMac G5's with Final Cut Pro HD. I do LOVE Final Cut, but I havent been to the point where i'm willing to switch to a Mac system permanently. I would buy a Mac for editing, provided its one of the PowerMac G5's. :)
