But nope. Connery's quote is the same one from Game Informer and the other quotes belong to some guy who works in the industry [but not EA].
I'm surprised it's taken the press so long to latch onto this story, though. It's big news and it's a change from the endless Bond #6 stories.

I'm quite excited about this. Even though I can't say Connery was my favourite Bond, this turn of events could be huge for the Bond video game franchise.
Also, this is a welcomed change from what we've been given by EA in the past. GE:RA, while a well produced and sleek game, left something to be desired, not to mention the few games that preceeded it were alright, but nothing amazing. Maybe this could rejuvinate the Bond games.
...But then again, I said that about GE:RA before it was released.

What I want to know is why Connery says he wants nothing to do with Bond, yet he keeps coming back. Not that I'm complaining, it's a great thing, I'd just like to know why.
I always thought that the story was that Connery wanted nothing more to do with EON Productions, since he felt that he was never paid fairly towards the end of his run as Bond.
Besides, at the end of "Never Say Never Again" he did wink at the camera. Can't wait for this game. Although it will be a little strange hearing Bond speak with Sean's older "shounding voish".

This year, he was rumoured to have been paid $1m just to do the voiceover for a new computer game, based on another Bond hit, From Russia With Love.
Although I never heard this salary "rumor." I actually thought he'd be paid more, maybe even a percentage of game sales. Seems crazy to say this, but I feel like $1M is too low. My guess is he made $3M at least.

How much does the average voice-over actor make? How much was Brosnan paid for EON???
SAG actually just recently voted to increase wages by 25% for voice actors in video games (this applies to Electronic Arts). As a minimum (I believe anyway) actors earn $759 a day (day = session = 4 hours).

I agree with other posters that Sean doesn't sound the way he did back in 1963. His Scottish accent is much more distinct these days.
Oh well, maybe they'll digitally enhance his voice to give it a younger looking sound but retain the essence of Sean Connery in it.
You know something, I have the same question about Clint Eastwood doing Dirty Harry. Clint sounds much more tired in his voice at 75 than did back in 1971.
I'm curious as to how they are going to pull it off for these legendary, but aging actors, or, er, voice artists.

What I've seen of FRWL so far, I'm afraid it will be the same mess.
