Cool image, but Sean Connery will provide his voice as well, right?  :)

It will look kind of silly otherwise. :)

View Post

Interesting point about Sean's voice. We KNOW that Connery won't be providing the voice so, will Bond be silent in the game, or will EA hire a sound-alike?

View Post

Perhaps, they could hire me to do the voice as a number of people have told me I sound like Sean Connery, hehe :)

I think most gamers would agree with the FPS preference, but actually, I almost didn't buy GE because it was a FPS! I remember the day it came out, standing there thinking it was a little disappointing! :)

I'd much rather see the character, since I'm still going to think it's me running around. My only problem with EON was that it did feel a little 'off' with so many different things going on. Now that they are only focusing on using one engine, hopefully the game will flow better.

I also prefer the variety they are going for in this, which was one of the best things about Nightfire. I'd much rather have different strategies for each level, as opposed to just shooting a bunch of bad guys. One thing I wanted in EON was to be able to use stealth throughout the entire level. It sounds like they're designing this one so that it's actually possible.

Personally I feel since the game is going to be based on a film it would be better in third person. Plus it gives a better perspective of the scenery of the beautiful locations.

View Post

Agreed. This game would be much better in third-person perspective.

Those new pics look very... cool...

Okay, this game looks okay. But I'm only happy as long as they make OHMSS after this one, then, perhaps TSWLM, followed by LTK. Then... Die Another Day perhaps?

OHMSS would be cool (I bet they could get Lazenby back cheap), if for nothing else than to include a little skiing (which was the one thing of note in EA's TND).

I always loved Agent Under Fire and Nightfire a lot more than Everything or Nothing. To me, Bond IS first-person. It's a must. Goldeneye paved the road for first person shooters to come, and anything else just seems odd. I could never get into EoN.

Also, I really miss the blood. Goldeneye had blood and got away with a teen rating. What gives?

One thing I'd love to see (it won't happen) is EA making their Bond games available for PC. It really is the only way a shooter should be played.

You know, on second thought, if they end up paying to get Connery- why not really use him? What about having a series of unlockable levels that essentially let you play through OHMSS...AS Connery? (And what better incentive to earn a high score?) They've already righted the wrong that was Bond jetpacking around in a helmet, why not let us see what else 'could've been'?

Imagine Connery's Bond in a kilt, or finally getting to ski! Think about getting to storm Piz Gloria with your own personal army! Bobsledding with Blofeld! Or what about a 'survival' mission where you must escape Blofeld's mountain (cable car or ski?), reach Tracy, then escape via car? They could even throw in another derby race for good measure (which they've already shown us they can do in EON)!

And if I were shelling out big money for Connery, I would have to have to last line in the game be Connery telling us, "We have all the time in the world."

An OHMSS game with Lazenby would be a great idea.. a great number of the scenes in the movie would translate well to a game platform... hmmm... good idea there..

hey make sure to take rogue agent survey at ea games...

At least they'll know what we think. OHMSS game could work out. If there was one, I would like to see Blofeld skiing in a level like he did in the film.

Agreed. I could imagine all the different levels in an OHMSS video game. What about a driving level which takes place right before Bond rescues Tracy on the beach, where you have to chase after her?

Might be a little difficult to speed that sequence up to keep in line with the rapidly editted sequence found in the film.

I echo all the above calls for a VG of OHMSS. Surely this story would make a fantastic game. We could have a fantastic mix of driving, skiing and third person activitiesImagine how good the final Piz Gloria assult would look on the next generation of consoles. FANTASTIC! EA if you are listening, please make this game!

However back on topic, Jack thank you very much for these photos. This game is shaping up superbly! I would imagine that most of the mechanics would be in place from EON so it should give EA more time to up the graphics, which from these screenshots they appear to be doing. I also agree with the people who have called for less of the endless use of character-less locales that have been seen in recent games. There are only so many times you can run down a corridor before it becomes very boring indeed. However these scrrens seem to show that EA is moving away from this, but i'll reserve judgement until i have the game in my hands.
