The jetpack is in it! One key boss fight will have Bond circling around Big Ben shooting at enemies!

Probably in a similar manner to the level in Everything or Nothing where you rappel down the building while shooting at enemies.

And trust me, they are going to milk the hell out of the jetpack.

I'll try to get some pictures up ASAP, guys.

Edit: Alright, I have all the pictures taken. Some came out better than the others, but you can see most of the screenshots pretty well. I will send them to zen, and he can do what he wants with them (resize, put them on the main site, or put them here). I'm just a middle man. :)

One thing of note in the 9th picture (the one with the two train cars)- the caption explains that Bond gets to race a motorcycle down the train tunnel.

Personally, the motorcycle levels were my favorites in EON.

I haven't been into video games since I retired my Atari in the 80's but, this game looks really interesting. Not sure if it is enough to get me back into video gaming again, though.

Perhaps I speak too soon, but I've been waiting ages for EA to capitalize on the film and book rights they have. They should pay attention to what made GoldenEye the game such a success, it would do them well.

It does look great. I was lukewarm at first to the idea of a "remake" game, but now I'm on fire! There's something about that pic of Connery in the jetpack... At last, here's my period Bond movie that I've wanted for a LONG time. It can't come soon enough for me now.

While I admit the pics look great I would not get too carried away, as we are often treated to 'stunning' pre-release pics that
never seem to materialise when you actually buy the game. (and when they do they don't look half as good)

For me the main selling point of this game would be if they persuaded Connery to do the voice/likeness.
I think there are many people who would buy the game for this reason alone (myself included)

I don't think its that far-fetched that this could happen, as Connery has been easing up on his workload for a while now,
and I would imagine this is pretty easy money compared to making a Hollywood blockbuster movie.

Yeah, that's a very good point, Cabainus. Nevetheless, I think EA will still hit the bullseye with this one.

Fortunately, most of the work was already done for them (EON), so I think this game has a very good chance of being great. EON was a very successful game, both critically and commercially, and they are essentially just improving upon it- having learned from its mistakes. Remember, nearly every 'game of the year' contender last year was a sequel.

I agree completely about the voice. Connery returning to the role of James Bond would be HUGE, and would make for a bigger story than if it were just another videogame. It will be a huge step back for EA if they return to using cheap imitators. He's not really returning to the role if they only secure his likeness, and he doesn't even perform anything. If it were, wouldn't the recent 007 dolls have been his 'return'? They used his likeness for those. :)

You could charge me double for a game that had "starring Sir Sean Connery" on it.

:) Halo. :)

The word is EA does want to use Connery's voice (of course they would), but I wonder if old Sean is holding out for a mint! Frankly, I'd hate to see them to pay a mega price just for the sake of advertising "Connery's return." Yes, it would be great, and I do think the effort should be made, but I don't like this trend of videogames becoming star dependant. Did anyone really care that Hedi Klum was in EoN? If Connery asks for the moon, get a voice artist and put the money back into a game. Let's keep it about the game, not the star. I'd like to see the gaming world avoid Hollywood's mistakes in this regard. What's next? Script approval?

That's my feeling anyway.

In general, I agree with you, but when I see a headline like "Sean Connery Returns as 007", I'd like for it to actually be true. It's a situation where it really is more about the star than the game. If they can secure Connery, it will mean far more publicity than if it's just another videogame.

Should they pay him a mint to do it? Probaby not, but considering the budget they allotted for the voice cast of EON, I don't think it would really detract from the game. Let's face it, Connery *would* be worth more than having Heidi Klum or Mya- and pretty much the combined cast of EON.

I always loved Agent Under Fire and Nightfire a lot more than Everything or Nothing. To me, Bond IS first-person. It's a must. Goldeneye paved the road for first person shooters to come, and anything else just seems odd. I could never get into EoN.

Also, I really miss the blood. Goldeneye had blood and got away with a teen rating. What gives?

Personally I feel since the game is going to be based on a film it would be better in third person. Plus it gives a better perspective of the scenery of the beautiful locations.

One thing I'd love to see (it won't happen) is EA making their Bond games available for PC. It really is the only way a shooter should be played.

I can't believe that I won't get to play this...... how could EA not think there is an audience to a PC shooter???

as for Connery returning... I would buy it because of that....... but you know..... it MIGHT sound a little ODD considering how COMPLETELY different Connery's voice is now....
