Going by the rumors, they are looking for a Bourne look. Every time they make a superhit 007 they try to make the next movie serious. Case in point - YOLT was followed by OHMSS, MR was followed by FYEO. TLD was followed by LTK.
Once the BO collections dip they will go back to the old formula. But really Bond should always be OTT with feet firm in the ground.

Yes they do tend to go more serious after an over the top Bond BUT it probably won't be a Bourne clone--they'll do serious in Bond style instead.
