Bryce,
Tell Flicka to go with the 'crimson satin'. From prior BCWs I'd say that is a surefire way to turn heads. It also adds a certain flair to her climbing exploits.

Sorry I won't be there for the fun this time. Just too much to do getting Freedom Grill going for tailgating season and getting on with life after the changes earlier this year.

I know everyone will have a blast.

Well, I have great news. I'm going to come for the whole event. I should have a contract for my Bond book next week. I'll bring some sample pages and you all at BCW will be the very first fans to see it.

Oh, I think I said a year ago that I was writing a Bond book, I've been keeping very mum about it since then, didn't want to jinx it. Once it's really signed and delivered, I'll post all sorts of information about it. I'll be very excited to start promoting The Ultimate James Bond Fan Book it next spring.

I think I remember you mentioning something like this a long time ago.

But indeed, you've been off radar for quite a while. Only recently noticed you back... :)

Can't wait to hear more details.

The time is growing close...

Heh-heh-heh..

*reviews all reservations*

BCW fees, air, hotel, theater, restaurants, spa, cigar bar, Statue of Liberty sunset cruise...

Yup, that gets us there.

Time to check the suits and the tux and make sure my last Platinum card payment posted.

A week from tomorrow, Team 1 departs LA with Bryce leading the charge.

The 24th, Flicka arrives with Team 2.

The 25th...NYC is in a for a Hell of a visit. I've seen Flicka's dress.

:)

Bring your heart meds boys. She going to break a few...

DOZEN :)

I'll kick off the "from the field" thread once we settle in.

See you all in New York. :)

You know...I needed some time off of Bond when the book was finally done. Nine months of writing Bond and watching Bond and thinking Bond and dreaming Bond and writing Bond...

Been watching romances and comedies. :)

Now I'm back.

BRYCE: Let me know if you find one. NYC is a smoke-free city, including bars. In the event you founf out about one that is flouting the city-wide smoking ban, I'd love to know about it. Thanks.

I will be bringing excerpts.

So far, I have made 25 copies, and every single one of them has screwed up in some way. The duplexer at work is very, very weird.

But at Matt Sherman's suggestion, I will have somewhere between 25-50 copies of teaser excerpts that I will autograph & number. If I become incredibly famous someday, they'll make great collectibles. But you know, I wouldn't hold my breath on the incredibly famous thing if I were you! :)

Oh, I know NYC HAD Cigar Bars, and have frequented them often. However, since Bloomberg took over, the issue isn't finding one on a search engine, but rather, one you can find in person and walk-in and have a drink and a cigar. Restaurants and bars are non-smoking, as is even loitering in front of a building and smoking outside (you need to be at least 10ft away or something).

Kara: Looking forward to the exerpt.

See everyone Saturday, as I can't make Friday's festivities.

As stated and defined last year before a BCW -

Athena is now in "Spaz Kitty" mode.

i.e. - Ever seen a 8-9 week old kitten in the morning (or just in general) dart to no specific spot in a room, freeze, look about in 20 different directions, then suddenly dart to another part of the room and do the same thing - like for a half hour?

That's Athena right now.

Presuming she hasn't packed and re-packed everything twice.

:) :) :) :)

See you and Zencat tomorrow....

...and you know what they say about tomorrow...

:)

I know Bryce had connections in NYC but for him to do the following favour while we were on tour was too much even by his standards...thanks for the call Charles!

Well, when Zencat's heat index sensor went off (we fitted him with one after Key West last year) I dispatched a bus with A/C and martini's. You really should have gotten on board.

:)

Great chatting and Bonding with you NS. Damn good time. :)
