I am 29 (but look 21, according to my boss who may just be sexually harassing me) single (with innumerable exes, however) 5'11"(used to hate my height to no end, now I love it -- if for no other reason than it intimidates Italian men -- many of whom are short), have dark brown hair, hazel eyes, and a deep hatred of Naples traffic. I love reading, the Bond mythos, watching movies, running, cats, Sex and The City, sex, pasta, the Grimm's Fairy Tales, manipulating people, Calvin Klein, tailored suits, sheer blouses, high heels (they make me 6'2" which really scares the **** out of some guys, apparently) cooking, long soaks in the bathtub, Spumanti, Tobey Maguire, and gorgeous green-eyed men who work at the local post office who look just like Tobey Maguire who unfortunately recently moved away to London (Danny, come back to me...)
I ignored my parents' urging to finish university and joined the lovely military instead, so now that I am a civilian again, I am paying for it by toiling away at an undergraduate Psychology degree on-line. Oh, well... Dad always said you have to be Young and Stupid first before you can be Older and Wiser. Hopefully, as long as I keep using the ol' Clinique Anti-Gravity Firming Face Lotion, I will only be Wiser. I am mulling over getting a Master's in Folklore, or a Master's in Psychology -- can't decide.

Yes, Daniel (not to be confused with Danny, my target of unrequited love), just call me an Elekra King-wannabe. But with a more sunny disposition. And a tan.

Well, as I wrote above, I am a Psyc major. However, I have always loved stories and fiction. Wanted to be a writer at one point, but sadly, it really is about who you know.
Regarding folklore, I've always had a thing for European folklore, specifically the Brothers Grimm. Having lived in Japan for two years, I am also partial to their stories. Not sure how I would translate that into a master or doctorate in the discipline, and even less sure how that would translate into some sort of steady income. But I think the evolution of folklore from past societies to present societies is really a gauge of that society, in general. Maybe I could get a teaching position. It tells you something about American society when the current most popular folklore myth is that Ben Affleck is really bald and wears a toupee. There is no hope.
It's interesting to note that the Brothers Grimm's tales were originally much darker and gruesome, and not children's tales by any means. But of course, Disney got ahold of them and the rest is history. Needless to say, you won't catch Cinderella's stepsister slicing off her own heel and toes to get her foot to fit into the glass slipper. Not in the Disney version, anyway.
I suppose my interest in folklore is one way of refusing to grow up. When I mentioned to my father was interest in getting a master's or doctorate in it, he looked at me like I had just said I'd decided to spend the rest of my life smoking crack.

Sorry, couldn't resist;)
Present Profession: Self-Employed "gun (pen) for hire" in Hollyweird as well as a Film/Video editor.
I was born and raised in Seattle, Washington and moved to California in 1986 to attend college. Halloween of 1988, I was introduced to our own 004 at a party. The conversations and the scotch haven't stopped flowing since.
I was in school, then out of school ("Chasing girls will be the end of you Bond-San"), during which time I attended local colleges and also became involved in security work. I later became a licensed bodygaurd and still maintain the license and the concealed weapons permit. My last "gig" was watching over a number of *ahem* "Actresses in the Adult Film Industry" at the CES show in Las Vegas in '96. All kinds of fringe benefits;)
For a brief period, I was an intern of sorts through a "family" friend who was a "company man" - Yes, THAT "company" with ONI connections. Nearly took the plunge into the real Spy world, but decided to return to school and graduated in Dec. '94 with a degree in Film/TV Production - English minor (screen and fiction writing). In '95 I began working in and around the film industry as an executive assistant to an entertainment attorney, a writer/director and independent producer.
In 2001, I decided to move into post-production and became certified on the Avid editing system and since that time have also gotten up to speed on most of the high-end video/audio editing software.
I continue to take the "hire-out" work available from any of 100+ post houses in the LA area and while not having my name on anything, the pay is quite nice and allows me a lifestyle that Fleming would approve of if not envy (Zencat, 004, Athena and Xenobia can vouch for me on this). I proudly have and continue to attend Matt Sherman's BCW events which are the best. This year's SpyFest being the most recent.
Life is not all roses. Sadly in 2001, I lost my mother to a stroke and in May of this year my father to heart failure. They both lived full lives and saw to it their boys would be taken care of for the rest of our days which has allowed me to work when I choose to on what I choose to. I have two older brothers both married to amazing ladies and each has given me a niece and nephew whom I love dearly.
In 1999 I purchased a townhouse that I now own free and clear and it's truly my home. I've got a GMC Jimmy that's my everyday car and I inherited my Mother's '84 Jaguar which is to me what Bond's Bentley was to him. I happiest flying down the road with a Bond CD blaring and my golf clubs in the boot.
The ladies - There've been a few of note. Then there's the Muses - 8 remarkable ladies who watch over me as I do them. That's a longer story.
Presently, there's someone in my life who I am finding myself more and more intrigued by as things continue on. No pets, except for a certain wild Irish "lounge kitty" whose company I enjoy.
I fell in love with the world of 007 at age 5 and haven't looked back.
I'm a Scotsman with a family kilt in the closet next to the Brioni tux. I travel, golf, shoot, like to spar with fists and swords on occasion and can handle myself in about any situation from a dark alley to discussing the finer points of cuisine in a five star restaurant. I smoke and been known to enjoy scotch once in a while....*waits for laughs*
*continues waiting*
*looks at watch*
*scratches*
*yawns*
*pours a scotch*
We done?...good.
I've been proud to be a staff member of CBn since April of this year and hope to continue making this site what it is. The BEST Bond fan (non-MGM) site around.
My screen name is based on Bond's alias from the novel LALD and 003 was my chosen number from the 007 RPG which I played for many years.
I think that's the lot...More or less...Actually....*scrolls back up* yes, more.
See ya around the boards all.

I spent 26 years in the food business (in grocery stores for 16 years from part-time clerk to store manager... then 10 years as a food broker calling on those stores). Spent WAY too much time out-of-town, so I shifted gears and went to work for a group of radio stations owned by Clear Channel in Roanoke Virginia. I serve as News and Public Service Director, Sales Assistant, AND write commercial ad copy for our in-house production department... never a dull moment.
I've been an avid Bond fan since a friend and I snuck into a Cleveland theater to see "Goldfinger" on its first time around.
From time to time I wonder if I'm the OLDEST guy spending time on these things.

Is your fanfic posted? Need to check it out, then. I've always wanted to be a Bond girl. Is Joyce C. stuck with a job making coffee for her entire division, too, and putting up with correspondence sent back down from Chief of Staff's office for the most petty of corrections (my favorite: "there are too may passive voices in this letter" Hello!!?? It's a ****ing request to fix the ant problem in the ladies' room!!! Not Shakespeare's last sonnet. Sign the ****ing thing!!!)
Still, I know I'm lucky to be here in Italy. When I left the USAF, I could've moved back to the States. But that prospect was too dreary to comprehend. I'm an American to the core, but these days certain people in power seem to have equated patriotism with ignorant bull-headedness, and I want no part of that. So I did what many ex-military people do in an effort to stay overseas -- get a civilian position. Less pay, but also less military bull**** like: "Oh, that barrette in your hair is unauthorized because it does not match your hair color."
Needless to say, I wore a lot of non-matching barrettes during my six-year stint. So many buttons to push, so little time....

There would be some to be found. Actually, I would prefer a nice Scotch and soda than Grappa. Grappa reminds me too much of Tequila, which in turn reminds me too much of the time when I had one too many shots and jumped up and down on the hood of a government vehicle while I was stationed in the Indian Ocean. Not that I remember this, mind you. Tequila makes me black out, and so my dear friends escorted me the next day (hungover like you would not believe) to show me the dents I made in the truck. Narrowly avoided getting hammered for that little stunt. Good thing my commander at the time was a good ol' boy horndog that could be easily swayed by mournful eyes and a "woe-is-me-I'll-never-do-another-tequila-shot-in-my-life-sir" speech.
I also made sure to wear my tightest uniform for that counseling session. Some men -- not all, mind you -- are so pliable. Elektra King would be proud.

Cool. Let me know if I can provide any feedback or useful info, specifically about the Air Force background.
Really, kids, if you're going to tell your parents to **** off, and join the military, you might as well go for the Air Force. Better pay, better perks, and less idiotic idiots.

Going back before 1992 I worked in a Theatre as a stage hand whilst working in a KFC.
From 1993 til now I have been a member of 'Equity' the british Actors Union. I have appeared in BBC's 'Eastenders' ITV's 'The Bill' and several other 'walk on' parts. I have been in over 40 Musicals ranging from 'Oklahoma' to 'Annie' and have a Tenor voice. I gave up the aforesaid because of a growing interest with 'behind the camera' techniques.
I am 42 years old ( an old bastard if you take in consideration the youthfulness of this web-site ) ( BASTARDS) and am 6'4'', Blue Eyes and would like to whipe the smile from Catherine Zeta-Jones face.
I'm not Catholic, Jewish or Muslim but believe that Jesus was not from this planet. He was from the planet ZOG. And he was brought up by Richard Donner Kebab.
Ok, I may have a really stupid sense of humour by being English you have to have this. The English either have a sense of humour otherwise we believe we won the war alone.
Anyway, good luck with the tablets and see you next Thursday.
Regards,
Ian
