I am based in vancouver B.C. Canada and some time ago I built a James Bond theme car for a client. A good friend of mine in the movie prop bizz got me in connection with a fire-arms supplier from T.N.D. he still had the P-99 that was used in the movie and offered it to me for the car (the car can be seen at http://www.epicdesigns.ca ) the car has 5 motorized hidden compartments one of which was for this gun.
Anyhow back to the gun it's a real Walther P-99 with a modified barrell it can only shoot blanks or at the time of the movie it was only capable of shooting blanks and still looks that way it has a diffusor plug in the barrell the gun in in near perfect condition just needing some minor cleaning which I never did because I would be cleaning some history away the serial # begins with 007 and at the end of the barrell is writen the crest of Her Majesties Secret Service.
On the grip of the gun it has cast into it made byt Karl Walther.
I am more interested in the right person for this gun than a lot of money so if any are interested reply to this thread or P.M. me with some info so we can make contact. Phil: [email protected]

I'm a reasonable man so don't be afraid to contact me if you are truly interested.
Keeping in mind I won't post any prices on the site just for buyer confidentiality that can be done on e-mail or phone.

The law has fuzzy areas around these (i'm speaking UK law here).
If the gun can never, ever be made to shoot live ammo and never ever could shoot live ammo (essentially, it was designed as a blank only and will only ever be able to fire blanks) then it's all good: No licence and no need for that crappy red paint like in the US.
If the gun started life as a real gun and has been made to fire blanks then the law is very upset with such guns. Basically the reasoning is, that the gun still 'works' and even though it may have the odd barrel mod here 'n there to only shoot blanks, how hard would it be for someone to swap parts around? Not very. In this sense the law views such guns as still section 5 (banned) and would require special licences to own. Such licences are not available for the 'common folk'.
Sollution? Have the gun shipped over to a registered gunsmith who can deactivate the gun (read 'butcher it') so that it can never shoot ammo again and the only useable parts would be the grips. Then you can own it no problem.
Personally I would never condone such a thing; as you said before, you haven't even cleaned it, lest you destroy history...how would you view cutting the barrel in half, filling it with metal, filing the insides down (firing pin mostly) cutting the frame rails down and milling the breach away. A travesty.
My 0.02 units of local currency (and i'm 99% sure it's fact).

I would be interested in a piece of history also, but the funds are just not there. That and the fact that I have three p99s already. One of which is a MI6 007 Limited Edition P99, that is laser engraved with a few bond related tid bits. I can also email you photos of this also if you wish.

Epic3, if the p99 you have is an original blank firing Walther, then exporting it may be much less of a hassle. Every picture I have seen of 007 with a p99 is him holding a blank firing p99, not a converted live p99. The tell tail sign is the tactical accessory rail on the muzzle of the firearm. If the rail runs from the "Made in Germany" marking to the end of the muzzle, continuously, then it is a blank firing p99. If it is not continuous and has a dot on the right side, then it is a live p99 or was. A Walther made blank firing p99 can never accept a live round and can not be converted to. So when you find a buyer, it might be much easier to ship.
PS I have attached a photo of my MI6 P99.
