Splendid, splendid.

Let me just say that I am honored to have been chosen by CBN's esteemed judges for inclusion in this project, and I am honored to have one of my stories at home between what is one of the finest Bond book covers I have ever laid eyes upon. What a beautiful finished product!
#187Posted 01 June 2005 - 04:39 PM
Just an amazing presentation, guys. The wrap around cover is excellent. Big kudos to Devin and Evan.
So, Qwerty, how does it feel to finally have this one in the bag? #188Posted 01 June 2005 - 04:42 PM
All I can say is it's incredible.
Well done to all the writers, the judges and Mister Asterix for a damn fine job. Can fan fiction get any better than this?. Oh no sir. Someday, ( if anyone's still alive by then ) I'll get my "The Ochios Rios Triangle" written down. #189Posted 01 June 2005 - 06:22 PM
Woohoo!
Evan, can I just say... GREAT cover, once again. You're a genius. Devin... you rock. Great job on running everything so smoothly. Of course... the writers... thank you for penning these wonderful stories. Congratulations, this is your book. My fellow judges... pleasure working with you. This is beginning to sound like an acceptance speech but screw it. I feel awfully proud for some reason. #190Posted 01 June 2005 - 07:06 PM
VERY good, let me tell you. I'd first like to thank Evan for creating what I feel is to be a Bond cover above and beyond. It's simply outstanding and was taken aback when I first saw it. Also for assisting me all throughout the process of formatting the collection and getting all the bits right. Also to Fenna, Chris, and Thom for their valued help in choosing the stories and finalizing the collection. A terrific team effort. To all those involved in the contest, whether your story is in the collection or not - I think it goes to show that the CBn main page and forums are without a doubt the best place for Bond fanfiction. This is just proof of it yet again. Hope everyone enjoys the collection - there will be more "published" fanfiction in the future! #191Posted 01 June 2005 - 07:14 PM
Congrats again to the authors, kudos to my fellow judges (it was fun guys),
and renewed praise for Evan for his exceptional skills as a jacket artsman (and his role in formatting the pdf). A lovely jacket Evan, as always. (Look forward to the artwork for your next novel Evan -hint hint - is that still in the works?) A nod and a wink to Thom, an e-kiss to Fenz and Finally a thumbs up to Devin for his starting the ball rolling on this project and then steering us through it. See ya in the forums, Hawkeye. PS. a shout out to everyone who entered the contest in the first place, if there is another one in the future i hope you'll have a crack at it again. Maybe we'll see a revival of Jim's lost entry, sadly M.I.A in the battle against technology. One wonders what could have been... *does happy dance*
Yay! I'll judge this book by its cover and say it's fantastic. Many thanks to all involved in the writing, formatting and production of Measure For Measure. I can't wait to start reading it. #194Posted 02 June 2005 - 01:50 PM
If the cover is anything to go by this should be a great read. Well done again to Evan on an amazing cover that looks straight out of the official collection. Once I've read some of the stories contained within Measure for Measure I'll comment in greater detail but for the moment kudos to everyone involved - the project looks terrific. AMazing cover art Evan -- I am blown away by it...
This whole thing has me pumped up about reenergizing my (presently) stalled fan fic.... Great work by everyone involved. #196Posted 02 June 2005 - 08:04 PM
I really enjoyed these stories...organize another contest soon!
#198Posted 02 June 2005 - 08:40 PM
Yes I would be interested in entering....damn that Mister Asterix fellow comes up with some great covers.
#199Posted 02 June 2005 - 08:43 PM
They'll (contests) be announced if/when they come around in the future.
#200Posted 04 June 2005 - 07:30 PM
Amazing job, everyone involved.
That cover is bloody amazing, even inside the print looks like an authentic Fleming novel. CBN is, hands down, the best place for 007 fanfiction on the Internet. Big thanks to the judges, and congratulations to everyone who wrote for the contest, I know I had a phenomenal time participating! #201Posted 29 November 2005 - 05:32 AM
Honestly, just wanted to round the threat off to 200 posts.
#202Posted 29 November 2005 - 05:43 AM
Here I go pushing it over 200 then...
With the huge push of fanfiction on CBn lately, I encourage all who haven't yet, to check this out! #203Posted 30 July 2006 - 12:22 AM
Wow, just got a blast from the past reading through this thread - even pulled out my old story and read it, just for the heck of it.
I CRINGE at most of it. I cannot believe I wrote that in 24 hours. I've got a very sudden urge to do a complete re-mastering...and I do happen to have a month's vacation coming up.... ...I also got a chance to finally read all the other entries. Might I say, this is some ridiculously good work! #204Posted 01 August 2006 - 06:04 AM
It is ridiculously good work, all of it - your story isn't cringeworthy at all (hey, why else would it have been selected?) . But wow, I can't believe you wrote it in 24 hours either!
#205Posted 01 August 2006 - 03:11 PM
Haha, okay maybe not CRINGEworthy all the way through...I'm just very very self critical. And yeah, my fingers were quite sore the next day.
#206Posted 05 August 2006 - 01:23 AM
Just read through it all now.
Very good read. Congratulations to its authors. #207Posted 08 August 2006 - 03:28 PM
We should do a 'film' version, with submissions in script format.
