Yes but if we find him we get 15,000 points. It's a case of give to take really...

Maybe we should just let Qwerty stay captured. Do we get points for finding him? Not that I can see... so is there really anything making us want to save him?

Thats low Athena. :) :)

Here's a question: has the location been used in a Brosnan bond film?

Thta's not right, we are using the money we have already earned, not the money we get for winning. Each no answer brings down the reward.

Ok we have 14,000 point right now. If we find Qwerty we'll get 15,000 points. So technically if we had to use all of our point to find Qwerty ($1,000 a point) we'd end up with 1,000 more points than we would have if we didn't use all our points for questions. But there is that risk of not finding Qwerty even after we ask 14 questions.

But until then, we still have one free question left...

It doesn't bother me to throw in this challenge, I have already expressed how disappointed I was with a particluar question.

I have a guess, where he might be.

Paris, France. It fits the criteria. And the Ian Fleming exhibit thing and he said he would like to go. Just thought you'ld like to know.

Here's a question to go along with it: Was the location in A View To A Kill?

No matter how many questions we ask though, isn't 1000 points better than none at all?

YES

In that case I think we should first ask: Is Qwerty is in The Americas?"

If the answer is No... then we can ask if Qwerty is in a German and/or French speaking country.

Athena007, Brix Bond, Grantbowler, Jermaink and Qwerty.

Challenge 009 is a fake challenge.

During CBn Mole 3 the contestant known as "Astros" has consistently proven to be the most irritable and offensive yet consistently entertaining player. Challenge 009 will henceforth be known as "Annoying Astros".

"Astros" is known for tackling word puzzle challenges, which is why this one has been set up. In fact it is an elaborate sting. Each of you has a separate task in this as outlined below, chosen due to your own character traits. You are all expected to assist eachother in performing these tasks so read each one carefully :

Brix Bond - Head of Convincing to Lead
This is simple, suggest and affirm that astros should lead the challenge and seek approval from the other four players.

Qwerty - Head of Clue Collecting/Changing
Only Astros will be sent an actual clue which reads :

Bond girl with a C instead of a K

The answer being Kara from The Living Daylights.

Your job is to say you have collected clues from the other players, attempting to secure astros' clue in the process. They should add up to this image.. The other words being : Atlantis, Sean, Not, Teresa and Auric. But be as annoying as possible in giving the clues up, and change them once astros' has gone to work as many times as possible - using any excuse you like - before reaching the above image which will spell ASTR.

Grantbowler - Head of taking over Leadership
You are to challenge Astros' leadership as much as possible, especially during the challenges' later stages where Qwerty's clues point toward Astros. Your key is to show how Qwerty's clues lead to the above image.

Jermaink - Convincing to Quit
Next to Astros' you are our most fiery contestant. Annoy Astros as much as you can, claiming that he is the eliminated player because I have personally told you. Once Grantbowler and Jermaink establish that the fake clues point to Astros you are to go even further, insisting that he quit in order for the team to get the 15,000 points!

Athena007 - Peacekeeper
As the sweet one Athena is to act as peacekeeper, apparently urging the boys to get along whilst laying seeds of deceit where possible.

Your goal is to try to make Astros quit, whether he does or not is irrelevent to your success. Apologies, but the 20,000 points allegedly offered is a false carrot designed to make Astros bite.

You will in fact score 2,000 points each for simply performing your assigned task to satisfaction. In order to do this you are all to support the other players in performing their tasks. That's a possible total of 10,000 points, which will leave you with just 2,800 points to earn in the final round to secure the prize.

Any player causing an extremely impressive outburst from Astros may be considered for an exemption.

You have four days so please work quickly, best of luck to you all.

mb

Problem with that last bit, if he's in Switzerland, they speak German, French, and Italian, so that one will be a pain if that's where he is.

that would narrow it down to 3 (germany, france, switzerland) places though, or remove 3 places.

I would suggest to stay away from languages since there is almost a different one for each country. I honestly think we should ask if he's in Europe, at least then we will know what part of the world he is in and we can start asking for cities.

Language origins perhaps? :)

This is a real bugger of challenge now. I'd hate to ask too many questions and end up not finding him.

I'm running low on ideas now.

I think out first plan of action should be finding out if he's in north/south America or not. Who's agrees?

I'd ask if he is in Europe. Should we get a no, we've eliminated a TON of possibilities.

EDIT: I guess you get the same result either way :)

I give Athena's idea a :)

"Is Qwerty located in N./S. America"

Yes: Limits the possibilities to very few.

No: We still have a huge headache

It's not a waist of a question, Mr Negative... we have to narrow down the possibility and this is how to do it.

I'm not being negative, there are two sides to each answer. I am saying the other.

I want us to win this, but I am so sick of all the blatant mole activity. If we don't win this, I won't be surprised.

Someone, not naming names, because they are mole, keeps trying to get us to use up questions for answers we already know.

Come on people, let's get a move on. We've had pages of e-debate here and no real questions answered. Let's just ask Qwerty as many questions as we want because either way we'll end up ahead. I suspect the Mole is attempting to hinder our progress with his taciturnity. Who's got some questions?

Things move slowly in the mole game. That is untill all the early debators are gone. We don't like mass-debators (Say that fast for fun).

We should make a guess with our final free question.

We can't win this challenge. The mole will stop us, and the questions we've asked haven't helped us too much.

The potential of winning 6000 points (if we use up all our questions) is not worth the risk of loosing the 9000 we already have.

That's just my opinion. And I'd like to wrestle control of this game away from the mole (unless I am the mole) :)

Ok now we know for sure that he's not in No/So America without just assuming.

WHAT WE KNOW...

Qwerty is NOT in a continent with begins with the letter A.
Qwerty IS in a country which James Bond has visited in the 007 films.
Qwerty is NOT in North or South America.

So we know for sure that he's somewhere in Europe (or iceland). Which narrows it down to (according to JohnBoy's list)...

UK
Italy
Switzerland
The Netherlands
Sardinia
Brazil
Greece
Germany
France
Russia (??? EurAsia ???)
Austria
Iceland

...we can risk a couple 1,000 points guys. We can't be off the trail, we're getting answers. Come on. Let's discuss a few more questions...
