Or the Schwartz :)

And actually, I don't mean this in a rude way Blofeld's Cat, but Hayden would only have to grow seven inches to reach the likes of David Prowse. I think Lord Vader has been popin' some steroids :)

So how does Hayden's voice drop about 20 octaves to the level of James Earl Jones, and grow a few feet higher to the level of David Prowse?

Vader is "more machine than man". his legs are not human...only his torso is natural..So,Women have boob jobs...Vader got a hieght job! :)

and the voice issue is perhaps becuz Vader is practically a broken man but for his command of the force...I'm much more troubled by various other issues with these films but that trailor kicks serious :)!! :)

I'm sure Lucas came up with some way of explaning the voice/height thing. It probably isn't the greatest way of explaning it, but then again it is Lucas. :)

Now I know what's heppened to me!. But I have marvellous boobs!.

All-in-all what interests me more than the visials is John Williams score. Will he combine all of those themes associated with the characters in this one?.

They shoot and he scores, and I recon this time he'll kill us dead with complex thematic cadences.

Ah....

Episode III

And only 29 years to complete the double trilogy.

Ack.

I must admit it does look good. Its hard not to with old Ben giving us his version of the truth from the origianl Star Wars. Also, TG that James Earl Jones is about the place to reprise the original death voice of the dark lord. He, of course, sounds great.

I especially like how they subtitled this one, The Revenge of the Sith.

Interesting note that prior to the release of Return of the Jedi, the film had been under the working title of Revenge of the Jedi. It was pointed out that the concept of revenge was not a Jedi concept and the posters that had been created at the time were pulled. (I actually have on of these).

I like seeing that used here. No doubt it IS a concept employed by the dark side of the force.

It looks like good fun.

Strange.

The talk that floated all over in many article and fanzines during the late 70s's that included interviews with Lucas, made it seem as though his original concept for the Star Wars saga was for a triple trilogy.

OR.....a part 7, 8 and 9.

????

Not sure if he still has that in mind or if this is enought to satisfy the original (actuall it was an 11 parter at first) story. Albiet, Luke WAS a female in the origianl draft.

Ah, rewrites....!

It all looks like good fun!

I thought there was something in Vader's mask which did that to his voice.

Listen to his voice at the end of Jedi; true he's sick, but it's not booming and scary.

I'm reminded of the old saying: "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." I don't know if there is a saying for fooling me a third time.

Recall the excitement that was generated by the teaser trailers for Episode I and Episode II and remember the films that were delivered to theaters. The folks at Lucasfilm are great marketers, getting fans excited about the potential of Revenge of the Sith. But what judgment can we really make from a 1 minute and 47 second teaser trailer that also contains footabe from A New Hope and Attack of the Clones?

Can we trust George Lucas to deliver this time? Or are we in for yet another disappointment?

I haven't decided yet whether I am going to see Revenge of the Sith when it is released in theaters. I think that I am going to wait until I read the reviews of the critics and the fan community.

WOW!! :) That trailer is so freaking cool!! I can't wait until May 19th,2005. Revenge of the Sith is going to kick :)!!! I've said this before but its too bad that a lot of people don't like the prequel trilogy. I think that they really tie the whole Star Wars story together very well and I'm sure that Revenge will finish it all off very nicely. Granted you can't please everyone, and there are certain aspects to all the films which not everyone likes. For instance, I myself loathed the Ewoks when I first saw Return of the Jedi in '83 and even to this day C-3P0 tends to get on my nerves sometimes in Empire Strikes Back. But I still like them all the same now as elements of humor. After all Star Wars films are made for the whole family, so the kids have to have something to enjoy. I have heard that Revenge of the Sith might be R rated, as its very dark and grim so there will not be any fuzzy, cute or bumbling creatures that distract you from the seriousness of the story. Hey I really have no major problems with Jar Jar Binks and the Gungans in Phantom Menace although I do admit that they were overused while Darth Maul was very, very underused. Attack of the Clones was great too... a perfect cliff-hanger, like Empire Strikes Back and I really got the sense of Anakin's descent into anger and hatred which sends him to the Dark Side. Haydn Christiansen plays the part really, really well. Bring on Ep. III baby! :)

Definitely too old for this - all looks the same as the previous two outings. Qualifying this as I only saw the first but caught clips from the second.

Can't see what the fuss is about - especially since we all get upset with a CGI surf sequence in DAD and this whole movie's premise is set on that.

Enjoy the hype, but make sure you don't see the movie.

Okay, I'm going to put an end to all the technical blabber about Darth Vader.

Simply go here. There's ALOT there, so just skip down to about halfway for info on Vader's speach. This is the perfect example of someone who as too much time on his hands :)

For the first time in many years I finally had a bit of that old Star Wars feeling... this proves (to me) that a great deal of the attraction of Ep 4,5,6 was (and still is) DARTH VADER. His absence in Ep.1 and 2 made those films so much less appealing to me. It's a bit like Bond: the classic bigger than life villains like Goldfinger and Blofeld add so much to the joy!

very true JJ. The funny thing is the fans get most excited when the prequels show kernals of classic trilogy imagry such as stormtroopers, Empire,Fetts...kinda shows that the "new" stuff has been a failure.

I third that.

That trailer left me a tad underwhelmed.

Of course, I loved Episodes 4-6, and found 1 and 2 to be much less than hoped for.

I really have to hope that this is the one that Lucas finally did right. As I look back over the first two prequels I come away far from satisfied. We true fanatics can only hope that the third may finally be on par with the trilogy.

However, I'm worried considering the great deal of information this movie has to cover. It's either got to 6 hours long (I'd still see it twice in th theater)or it'll just be a huge cop out.

I don't think Lucas ever really has done it right. If you look at the strengths of TESB and ROTJ, they are simply due to better script doctors/directors/etc. ANH/Star Wars had the benefit of a studio to keep GL in check. The fact Lucas had smaller involvement was a huge benefit. The prequels just back this up by showing what happens when Lucas does it all by his self and has free reign.

So.....

Now step in the MARKETING SPEcıalısTS. Who have the opportunity to read all the critiques, study all the short-comings and failings of the films, have them redone as "directors cuts" and re-release them as was done with the original Star Wars trilogy and bring in anohter 500 million or so for a ten to fifteen million dollar investment.

Not to mention the sales of all murchandise, video tapes and the DVD collections with all the features and extras not found in PREVIOUS sets.

Blah, blah, blah....

MOney makes the world...go around, the world....go around...the world

Ack....choke.

Sorry about that.

Ah, well. People will keep shelling out the bucks JUST BECAUSE.

Too bad.
