And actually, I don't mean this in a rude way Blofeld's Cat, but Hayden would only have to grow seven inches to reach the likes of David Prowse. I think Lord Vader has been popin' some steroids

and the voice issue is perhaps becuz Vader is practically a broken man but for his command of the force...I'm much more troubled by various other issues with these films but that trailor kicks serious

Now I know what's heppened to me!. But I have marvellous boobs!.Vader is "more machine than man". his legs are not human...only his torso is natural..So,Women have boob jobs...Vader got a hieght job!
All-in-all what interests me more than the visials is John Williams score. Will he combine all of those themes associated with the characters in this one?.
They shoot and he scores, and I recon this time he'll kill us dead with complex thematic cadences.
Actually that deep voice is kinda sudden, and you wonder if the video's on the fritz!.and the voice issue is perhaps becuz Vader is practically a broken man but for his command of the force...I'm much more troubled by various other issues with these films but that trailor kicks serious
!!

Episode III
And only 29 years to complete the double trilogy.
Ack.
I must admit it does look good. Its hard not to with old Ben giving us his version of the truth from the origianl Star Wars. Also, TG that James Earl Jones is about the place to reprise the original death voice of the dark lord. He, of course, sounds great.
I especially like how they subtitled this one, The Revenge of the Sith.
Interesting note that prior to the release of Return of the Jedi, the film had been under the working title of Revenge of the Jedi. It was pointed out that the concept of revenge was not a Jedi concept and the posters that had been created at the time were pulled. (I actually have on of these).
I like seeing that used here. No doubt it IS a concept employed by the dark side of the force.
It looks like good fun.
Strange.
The talk that floated all over in many article and fanzines during the late 70s's that included interviews with Lucas, made it seem as though his original concept for the Star Wars saga was for a triple trilogy.
OR.....a part 7, 8 and 9.
????
Not sure if he still has that in mind or if this is enought to satisfy the original (actuall it was an 11 parter at first) story. Albiet, Luke WAS a female in the origianl draft.
Ah, rewrites....!
It all looks like good fun!

Listen to his voice at the end of Jedi; true he's sick, but it's not booming and scary.

Recall the excitement that was generated by the teaser trailers for Episode I and Episode II and remember the films that were delivered to theaters. The folks at Lucasfilm are great marketers, getting fans excited about the potential of Revenge of the Sith. But what judgment can we really make from a 1 minute and 47 second teaser trailer that also contains footabe from A New Hope and Attack of the Clones?
Can we trust George Lucas to deliver this time? Or are we in for yet another disappointment?
I haven't decided yet whether I am going to see Revenge of the Sith when it is released in theaters. I think that I am going to wait until I read the reviews of the critics and the fan community.

I'm reminded of the old saying: "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." I don't know if there is a saying for fooling me a third time.
Actually there is.
You just can't put it into print here at CBn.
You know!

PS...thanks for the Scoty/Star Trek reference. Must be that little old lady from Leingrad.

Can't see what the fuss is about - especially since we all get upset with a CGI surf sequence in DAD and this whole movie's premise is set on that.
Enjoy the hype, but make sure you don't see the movie.

The funny thing is the fans get most excited when the prequels show kernals of classic trilogy imagry such as stormtroopers, Empire,Fetts...kinda shows that the "new" stuff has been a failure.
Yep.
I third that.
That trailer left me a tad underwhelmed.
Of course, I loved Episodes 4-6, and found 1 and 2 to be much less than hoped for.

However, I'm worried considering the great deal of information this movie has to cover. It's either got to 6 hours long (I'd still see it twice in th theater)or it'll just be a huge cop out.

I don't think Lucas ever really has done it right. If you look at the strengths of TESB and ROTJ, they are simply due to better script doctors/directors/etc. ANH/Star Wars had the benefit of a studio to keep GL in check. The fact Lucas had smaller involvement was a huge benefit. The prequels just back this up by showing what happens when Lucas does it all by his self and has free reign.
So.....
Now step in the MARKETING SPEcıalısTS. Who have the opportunity to read all the critiques, study all the short-comings and failings of the films, have them redone as "directors cuts" and re-release them as was done with the original Star Wars trilogy and bring in anohter 500 million or so for a ten to fifteen million dollar investment.
Not to mention the sales of all murchandise, video tapes and the DVD collections with all the features and extras not found in PREVIOUS sets.
Blah, blah, blah....
MOney makes the world...go around, the world....go around...the world
Ack....choke.
Sorry about that.
Ah, well. People will keep shelling out the bucks JUST BECAUSE.
Too bad.
