GoldenEye is the best Bond game and will probably continue to be for a while, but EA made a huge step forward with EoN and hopefully will continue in the right direction with RA. TWINE64 was decent, but AUF and NF (console version) were just awful. As I understand it, Eurocom was behind those and was dropped in favor of EA's Redwood Shores development team. Eurocom just didn't "get it," but the new group running the show seems much more competent.

A huge problem with such games as The World is not Enough 64, Agent Under Fire, and NightFire was the obvious one, the levels.

They finally got it together with EoN, and I think they will again for RA.

EA can't make action games, period. Battlefield 1942 and Vietnam were the only two successful action games.

EA should just stick to sports. Sadly there as well, they're getting trumped by ESPN, especially the new football installment.

EA have really proved themselves with EoN, LTK.

I think they can when they really try.

EoN indeed was a great game, but no replayability IMHO.

And definitely no multiplayer flavor either.

I guess I can understand that comment about the multiplayer.

Maybe they'll do better with Rogue Agent for those who disliked EoN.

I think the story will suck in Rogue Agent. But, I think the multiplayer will be very Goldeneye-esque. They must make it like Perfect Dark multiplayer, with alot of customability.

I loved EON when I got it, but by the end of the game I was sick of it. This simply never happened to me with Goldeneye. EON had tremendous gameplay and excellent graphics compared to Goldeneye, but LTK points out the two major problems. IMO, what makes or breaks a game after you've beaten it is what the multiplayer is like. If that is good, you'll keep playing the game. For EON it was awful.

I beat the game in a weak, and sadly the levels were only interesting the first time around. I never felt like playing it again and I've actually traded it in by now.

Judging from the news, I think the story and all other features will rock! :)

What did you think of Nightfire? Personally, I think that came pretty darn close to Goldeneye itself, and the console multiplayer was a blast.

I enjoy NightFire considerably. An improvement on Agent Under Fire.

qwerty its funny because i just love agent under fire so much, still play it and it never gets old to me but nightfire just never hit that chord with me for some reason...and i just dont really know why but it just never did

same with tomorrow never dies for the playstation, still love that game today

EON i have not really had the chance or time to really play and get to know but the little i have played i love a lot, i think it will be a game that i find hard to put down once i do get all the way through

Well I find Agent Under Fire and NightFire to be two of the most similar Bond games, but I can understand the differences in opinions over both of them.

They're all relatively good usually.

GoldenEye had a great single player, a great mutli player, it was fun, RARE diden't just focus on the graphics and the voices, which there were no voices, they just focused on the fun of it, and the graphics were pretty good for GoldenEye compared to some new video games.

I disagree.

Everything Or Nothing was just a load of fancy graphics and celebrity voice acting. There was no James Bond finesse about it, just fast-paced action that made the James Bond movies look like the Matrix. The writing was terrible, too. What happened to Bond's fancy inuendo's?
And can Everything Or Nothing be related to any of the old James Bond movies like Goldfinger or Live And Let Die? Can you picture Sean Connery rapelling down an exploding skyscraper with an MP5K submachine gun? Rappelling down exploding skyscrapers is something that Schwartzenegger or Stallone should be doing, not James Bond.

I don't have problems with skyscrapers.

It was a well written game, coming from someone who previously worked on the films. Probably have RA better.

Yes, I'm quite positive. I liked Feirstein's work on the game.

00-Fan008, I'm not going to go over every single bit about what I liked or didn't like, I'm not into video games as much as you, I simply thought he did a good job on the game.

Sports are slowly getting old for them, sadly.

I'm beginning to think PlayBoy somehow worked on "GoldenEye 64" and he's trying to keep it alive because EA is taking over and doing a damn good job :)

I think GoldenEye: Rogue Agent may unseat GoldenEye N64 as the best first person shooter ever.

I don't agree. This game may be good, but it will never unseat Goldeneye 64, Doom 3 and Far Cry. Halo 2 and Half Life 2 are also arriving as the most anticipated games of the year, and they will probably beat Rogue Agent as well.
