Okay, so The Bourne Supremacy beat Die Another Day at the Box Office. As much as I enjoyed The Bourne Supremacy, James Bond is still better than Jason Bourne. What do you all think?

Bond is cool and all, but I think that Bourne could kick his... rear.

To be honest, I could not really choose between the two. I think they're both very great characters. However, over the years, Bond has really deviated from what he originally started out as, so it is hard for me to compare.

Bond gets better looking women. Can we agree on that?

Well, Righty, it depends on which medium you're talking about. In the novels, Marie is in every single one of them. She is married to David Webb (aka Jason Bourne) in The Bourne Supremacy, and they have children together in The Bourne Ultimatum.

I would say that James Bond has style, and Bourne doesn't. He has no taste in wine, and women. Hell Bourne doesn't even know the hell he is...how can you compare these two? Sure, I love Bourne, he does kick :), and his recent films are better then the latest Bond movies, but I'm judging as a character and no one compares to James Bond, Agent 007. That's my two cents, you can take it or leave it.

EON: Take a lesson from Bourne and get out in real locations. Not Wales for Korea and the studio for practically everything else. Bourne featured locations from: India, Berlin, Amsterdam, Moscow and NY. Enjoyed Bourne, love the Bonds--no contest in coolness.

If we're talking movie Bonds and who could beat who, Connery would have crushed Matt Damon. The other four may not have stood as much of a chance.

But as the Broccollis have said for years, competition only helps the Bond series. I liked The Bourne Identity and look forward to Seeing The Bourne Supremecy, probably on DVD. But I doubt this series will continue in the tradition Bond has.

The previews also make this Bourne sound a lot like the second one -- his former superiors are after him and he's on the run. Seems like that would get a little old after a while. Beats the hell out of the Jack Ryan series, though.

So is The Bourne Ultimatum going to be the title of the third film?

I've heard Damon say he didn't want to do a third Bourne film. With the money this one is making, he may be able to be lured back.

Matt Damon would be a fool not to do a third film especially since The Bourne Supremacy beat Die Another Day.

2004 is the "Year of Good Sequels." Shrek 2, Spider-Man 2, and The Bourne Supremacy have all been better than the original. Meet the Fockers and Ocean's Twelve will probably also be better than the original.

Damon said that at this time, he's not sure whether he'll come back for a third or not. However, that's pretty much what he said two years ago about doing a second one! He did state that at the moment, he's not planning on it, but if they manage to come up with a really good script for a third (most likely would be Ultimatum), then he would return to the role.

I assume you mean that it looks like the first one? Anyways, that was something I was a bit worried about at first, but from what I've read in reviews and from what friends have told me, this story is a true continuation of the first one, and that it elaborates and goes deeper into Bourne's past, as well as explains some more things.

In terms of a theoretical fight between Bond and Bourne, however, I'd say that Bourne would tear Bond apart; he is much quicker and more vicious, not to mention he can really think of some brilliant things on the fly. Not that I'm saying that Bond isn't resourceful, he damn well is, but Bourne seems to be conditioned much, much better.

I think Matt Damon is toying with us...he'll sign up, he just won't admit it yet. He said on Entertainment Weekly, "I don't know where you'd go from this one." Please.

Grrr, it pisses me off that I have to wait until this weekend to see the movie. That, and I can't get the score by John Powell, which I have been looking forward to nearly as much as the movie itself! The more and more I keep hearing about it, the more I have to see it.

My opinion on Bond vs. Bourne is this:

The Bond of Fleming and the 60s is far better than Bourne is and could hope to be, because the main character is so much more interesting and fun. Bond at his best is top-of-the-line entertainment that I love far more than anything Jason Bourne could give me.

Bourne, however, has outdone the Brosnan Bond. The films are far more entertaining, gripping, thrilling, and interesting than any one of Brosnan's films and is really giving the current state of Bond a run for its money.

I think the Bourne series kind of became a "threat" to the Bond films with The Bourne Supremacy. Kind of came out of nowhere.

Pay attention EON: The public will pay good money to see a smart spy thriller sans CGI, Maxim cover girls and banal plots. Jason Bourne just kicked James Bond's ***!!!! And that's expected for Tom Cruise spy films that open on Memorial day but this is different. They have to do better. They are selling themselves short and destroying the series(while making money).Embarrassing.

Perhaps they will listen Tarl after the tepid reception to Die Another Day. I never had too many problems, but it goes without saying many did, I know you can attest to that. Focus on the plot, style and theme and make it a tight James Bond thriller.

Depends on the fight, with firearms I think Bond could easily win.
