I just thought it was silly that a guy could have that much power by owning a newspaper...just kinda out there but thats Hollywood for ya.

Carver had the satellite network as well. His newspaper was translated in to who knows how many languages. He controls what's in it, influencing what people hear and see. That's pretty darn powerful.

But thats like saying Bill Gates could do the same thing with all the microsoft products people use. I thinks its just a cheesy plot.

Bill Gates has huge amounts of money to donate to anything he wants to, whether its a terrorist group or a candidate for political office, which could make a difference in the world.

Ever hear of William Randolph Hearst? It may not seem plausible nowadays, but back in the 1920s-1940s, it was a very different story. Pre-Bond, of course.

It's really not. If you have the influence and power...

Graves is my favorite. I can see why people hate him but he's cheesy and OTT just how a Bond villain should be.

I would kindly disagree with that. Graves is too snobbish....

Hardly think he has been criticized for going too over the top, DanMan.

I like him, not as one of my favorites, not the very worst, just not the best.

Rosa Klebb is a strong main villain, one often overlooked I think because the henchman Red Grant usually steals the show of the well put together villains of From Russia With Love.

Yes, Rosa Klebb is one of the better underrated villians of the series.
