Alec Trevelyan....was a great villain...had some roughness and coolness on him..sure Red Grant is the best one! That fist fight in From Russia With Love is tremendous!

You don't have to ask me to say Red Grant is the best villian. He is. As well as my other favs, Dr. No. You forgot to mention Jaws and Scaramanga! As well as Blofeld and Elliot Carver...and Largo.

Villain: Goldfinger and Drax (up until they go into space, Then turn it off)

Drax has some of the best villain lines. "Look after Mr. Bond...see that some harm comes to him." and "Such good sport" just before he has the dogs sent after his secretary.

Goldfinger...well, he's Goldfinger.

Of the main villains, Auric Goldfinger, Francisco Scaramanga and Alec Trevelyan are my favourite's. Gert Frobe, Christopher Lee and Sean Bean are all wonderful in their respective roles.

Overall, the best villain is Red Grant and this is mainly due to Robert Shaw's outstanding performance. Grant is utterly ruthless as a killer. In terms of physique and intellect he is a match for Bond and this is what helps to make their encounter on the train so memorable.

Hmm, I think Elliot Carver slightly takes the lead over Zorin in my opinion. Both Scaramanga and Zorin are two of the better villains.

I agree with most of the choices already posted, but for me it has to be Kamal Khan. Why? Because I was really impressed with his villainous turn as "Arcane" in the otherwise campy SWAMP THING. He managed to follow up that wonderful piece of villainy with his wry performance in OCTOPUSSY.

I dont like Carver....he was just the brains behind it so to me he has no higher ranking than Kronsteen...My second favorite is Sanchez
