Licence to Kill, along with many other James Bond films will be apart of a marathon in July on SPIKE TV...

The violence and harsh tone was probably a key factor the film hasn't been shown alot, huh?

I think it hs more to do with simple TV ownership's. TBS aired it often.

The only trouble with Spike Marathons is the MASSIVE amounts of commercials.

Thanks for posting this. We were holding off on posting this on our main page until closer to the date. It would just age off before the marathon begins. We'll do a main page reminder in the last week of June. :)

Ahh, they finally got LTK from Ted Turner's grubby hands. Now they just need to get AVTAK and GE and they'll have all 20.

Whether or not that's a good thing is questionable.

It's nice to see Bond on TV, but not always on SPIKE.

Spike just needs TND, GE, and AVTAK.

Spike does offer alot of commercials (like one every five or seven minutes?).

Did anyone spot THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS '1981' mistake in that link?

Spike just needs TND, GE, and AVTAK.

The more Bond films kept away from that station, the better.

12 Hours of Moore... plus the Moore films are the only ones they're repeating! Someone at Spike programming must love Moore. And NOTHING's wrong with that! :)

the Moore the merrier I always say.

Although, I gotta admit, I've been wanting to see Goldfinger and Thunderball lately.

I do know CTV had a marathon of their own with a Bond film each week or so, those two included, a little while ago.

Hoepfully these films will do okay on the sometimes less than perfect SPIKE.

Funny, I saw LTK on TBS like three weeks ago. Maybe they wanted to give it one last showing before Spike TV got it.

I would think so, as it is SPIKE all the same.

Whereas TBS was a fun channel to watch some of the Bond films for the first time.

SPIKE with it's endless commercials popping in all over the place kind of takes away the novelty that TBS would have had for these films.

Good point Qwerty.. The only bond film that I will even consider watching on Spike during the marathon, is NSNA since I don't own it myself (I refuse to pay money for that film) :)

Eek, and it seems like SPIKE rarely shows that one compared to the Roger Moore and Sean Connery official ones. :)

Another problem that I have with these marathons is that they never, ever show any of the Brosnan films. :) You'd have thought that those movies would be on t.v. by now. I've seen Goldeneye, TND and most recently TWINE on other channels.

Well CBS had Tomorrow Never Dies at one point I believe. GoldenEye I see very often on TV, NBC, USA, many channels I've seen that one.

The World Is Not Enough was the one I saw on ABC most recently I believe. Not sure how often they're on though, as I just stick with the DVD's.

It is fun to see them on TV once in a while though.

I doubt it. We will probably get all the promo's for the marothon but, when the show starts we will get a marothon of Real T.V. Just like during DAD, when Pierce and Halle did the T.V. spots but when the time came for the Bond movie, Star Trek would come on. Bah!

I can't wait for the marathon, I love watching those Bond movies. Sure, I have all the movies on DVD already, but there's something about watching it on tv...

but there's something about watching it tv...

I think so also. Even if it is just sitting down and catching a few minutes here and there. Just seems somewhat different, if the films are not overplayed on TV.
