ES Blofeld - a warm welcome to CBn. You'll quickly find it's a nice place to be.

"Favourite author: Ian Fleming

Favourite Band: Led Zeppelin

Favourite Sport: Soccer"

Firstly - it's "football", not soccer :)

Secondly - you're an honorary Brit. :)

Thirdly - if you haven't read all the Fleming books (and would like a 60s Pan paperback) check my thread in the Ian Fleming forum. :)

Hee hee. :) All I will say is: welcome to the world's favourite sport. For a country that has such a global influence, it's a shame that the US doesn't really get behind the world's most popular sport. I promise you, nothing will compare to the feeling you'll get if America does well in the World Cup. :)

Except playing a Test Match. What's wrong with playing cricket for five days and ending up with a draw? :)

Please let me introduce myself, I'm a Lieutenant Commander in the US Navy serving as Damage Control Assistant (DCA) on the aircraft carrier USS JOHN F. KENNEDY (CV-67) homeported in Mayport, Florida. I'm orginally from Cleveland, OH, but I call Norfolk VA home now (my tour on JFK not withstanding). I enlisted in the Navy at age 17, way back in 1984, and I earned my degree (Military History from Ohio State University) and my commission in 1989. Since then I've served ashore and aboard 6 different ships (one destroyer, one fleet oiler, one aircraft carrier and 3 amphibious assualt ships). I've come over from the MI 6 board because I heard folks are a little friendlier here :) . Looking forward to some great discussions, especially as Casino Royal starts production.

Not at all, I say 'aboard' all the time since these forums have that Navy style thing going on. :)

Extra appropriate for Navy007Fan, of course. :)

I'm brand new to these forums. I used to post on Mi6, but I resigned from their. Rich Douglas suggested this site to me, so I decided to try it out

In the Bond world, I'm greatly interested in the Music.

I make fan trailers too, and I will be sure to post some links to them somewhere.

I look forward to spending a lot of time here... I'm glad to be here

I can't believe i just found this topic. I'll start by how I found this site. I did a search on James Bond and this was one of the sites I found as a result. I think what struck me the most was the (naked?) woman holding the gun with the Union Jack in the background. Wow! Then I joinerd the forums only a couple of months ago and have fallen in love with this site! it is so awesome! Now, I am inspired to post my first fanfic, and read everyone's as well! Since I have been 8 years old, I have loved all things Bond, from being a flu ridden child who was allowed to stay up and watch Goldfinger on TBS to the 27 year old almost ready to graduate college student I am today. My favorite heroes have been Superman, Bond, Capt. Kirk and Luke Skywalker, and Spider-Man (no particular order). As I've matured (Hah!), however, I've found that I love Bond just a bit moore (ironic, no?). God Bless the people who run this site, and God Bless all the great froum members (even if we disagree, we all love all things 007, that is our common Bond. Okay, Enough with the lame jokes!). I love being here and talking to all of you, all over the world!!
