I agree. As a villain, Bond's father, M, Q, Moneypenny, Felix Leiter, Zukovsky, Robinson, Tanner or anybody else, Connery will not do it.Honestly, it would be rather a total waste of a villain I think if he ever was to be a villain. I couldn't look at him as a credible villain, I don't think. Not after seeing him as James Bond.

It just doesn't make sense. No matter what the role, excluding James Bond, I don't think any of the past actors to portray Bond would do that well as a different character. But that's just my opinion.I agree. As a villain, Bond's father, M, Q, Moneypenny, Felix Leiter, Zukovsky, Robinson, Tanner or anybody else, Connery will not do it.Honestly, it would be rather a total waste of a villain I think if he ever was to be a villain. In 1983, when Connery was promoting NSNA, he appeared on Johnny Carson's TONIGHT SHOW. Carson asked Connery who was the best Bond villain? To which Connery replied, "Cubby Broccoli."

I would have liked to see that, just to see audience reaction and the look on Connery's face when he mentioned that. All I know of it, is what's mentioned in The Legacy book.In 1983, when Connery was promoting NSNA, he appeared on Johnny Carson's TONIGHT SHOW. Carson asked Connery who was the best Bond villain? To which Connery replied, "Cubby Broccoli."

I'd doubt the audience had any idea who Cubby Broccoli was.I would have liked to see that, just to see audience reaction and the look on Connery's face when he mentioned that. I actually have that interview on tape but don't remember that line. What I do remember is Carson asking Connery to sing Underneath the Mango Tree.
