Battered, beaten, stubble, uncut hair, etc. I don't have nothing wrong with, but don't make him look like a beggar or someone who's just spent 20 years with the Spanish Inquisition. 3-5 years is way too long and unbelievable, I'd say 3-5 months is much better.

Long hair and a beard?

This better not happen, I mean that would destroy the Bond formula. To have Bond be captured for so long and not escape is unthinkable. People come to the Bond movies expecting the same formula, and that formula is what bring the people back for more. I would agree for a month or two, but please don't brain wash him or anything.

JimmyBond (18 Feb, 2002 04:41 p.m.):
It's my understanding, and someone correct me if I'm wrong. That the Americans occupy a part of Korea. Just like the Americans occupied a part of Germany in Octopussy.
Hmmm... We were occupied by America? Yes, until 1949, because than the German Constitution was proclaimed and the Federal Republic of Germany was founded. In almost the same manner than the German Democratic Republic (DDR), eastern Germany.
We had and still have some American airbases in Germany, which are now mostly NATO airbases. Remember, it was an American base in Germany where the bomb should be lit in Octopussy. But we never were occupied by America, and the DDR was never occupied by the Sovjet Union, the Sovjets just had more influence on the DDR as America had on Germany after 1949.
Thanks for listening Tim's little German history,
until the next time.
Tim

sry, I just get nervouse about this subject, I would like Bond to always be invincible, but I guess Bond is changing and the more I think about it, it doesn't seem that bad.

Hmmm... it's certainly different. Well I think the old Bond trial and error thing is going to come into work here. OHMSS was different so they try a more blockbuster Bond movie in DAF. MR then FYEO. If it doesn't work the next film's gonna be back to "Mr Indistructable Bond" or... if worse comes to worst... they'll ditch Brosnan (I mean REALLY worst... I mean huge cock up!! Or they'll shoot Tamahori for treason!). I'm scheptical... but hey I think it's a good change.
