LOL Johnboy. :)

Basinger seemed to just float around in the performance, they never really gave her as intense a loss and betrayal from Largo as they did of Domino.

Yes, she had some scenes, but I think Domino had better.

Are you kidding me Qwerty. Where did Augers character have any depth?

I'm not kidding Snow, I think she was way better than Basinger. Just my opinion.

Comparing her reaction to her brother's death and her determination to want Largo dead, with that of Basinger's, I simply think Auger gave a better performance.

Auger's Domino: Is quintessentially 60's-era cool, and at the same time, a timeless beauty. Looks great in an evening gown, a bikini, probably anything. Good chemistry with Connery's Bond. Gets in a couple of good one-liners. Shoots the villain who betrayed her.

Basinger's Domino: Very much imbedded in the 80's, which is not a good thing (leg warmers?? [shiver]). No doubt pretty, but lacking in that certain something that says "Bond-Girl" (Perhaps this is due in large measure to her being in a non-Eon film). Her Southern accent lurks just below the surface. Sits out the final showdown.

Claudine wins this comparison by a large margin, IMO.
