I got the Golden Compass Trilogy of books for Christmas, so I just dived into the first one (The Golden Compass). I'm up to chapter 6 so far and have really enjoyed it so far!! My empty void of further Harry Potter books has been filled!! I can't wait to see the film after I finish the book! :D

Just read Matala - Craig Holden for review. Save yourself some time and take a pass. Even though it was incredibly short.

About to either start the Bill Pronzini collection that Stark House published or some old Nick Carter Killmaster book.

LOST by Gregory Maguire. A modern day writer staying at the home of Ebenezer Scrooge finds a supernatural mystery of her own bricked up in the pantry. Maguire successfully manages to avoid doing yet another update of A Christmas Carol, and comes up with something that keeps you guessing till the end. Nice seasonal ghost story.

Great book and you can't go wrong with Perry Mason either. Have you read any Erle Stanley Gardner when he wrote under A.A. Fair. His Cool & Lam series is actually better in my opinion

At the Mountains of Madness, by good old HP Lovecraft. Introducing myself to Mr. Lovecraft's fiction, and, although this one is a pretty heavy read, with all the scientific and technical stuff and that, I'm liking it very much so far.

Been reading John Constantine Hellblazer Dangerous Habits by Garth Ennis. I love it. I don't read comics but this character is intriguing, funny, and crazy. This is the first one I've read in the series and I'll be reading more. :D
