I'd be nice if Slideshow had all the Bond's in tux's. I'm put off buying George and Rog fro this reason though my wife, ever the pragmatists, financially flagrant and taking the P suggests buying a George and Rog and 2 Sean's and changing costumes!

Not that bad of an idea... especially since you can pick up George and Roger on eBay for between $15 to $20 each....

Roger Moore Man with the Golden Gun is very unpopular. Not sure why. Maybe the very dated looking outfit.

Lazenby looks the best by far.

Odd. I like that one well enough.

I received my Xenia Onatopp in the mail today! After all the hubbub about the face sculpt, I am actually very happy with it. It's not a perfect sculpt by any means, but it's not as bad as some of the pictures make it look. It must be difficult to attempt to recast something as sublimely beautiful as Famke. :)

I nabbed this figure at a bargain price, and now I will be hopelessly pining for many other figures to add to the collection. Just when I'd gotten a handle on my trading card, book and magazine collecting, here comes Sideshow. :)

I really want a Connery (either DN or GF), a Pussy, and a Jinx.

Holding out for a TSWLM Roger in naval uniform and the Brozzie TND halo jump suit.

Then there's Q, Jaws......... :) $$$$$$$$!!!!

Jinx and Pussy arrived yesterday. Love them! The Honor Blackman sculpt is very good, but she's too pale. While the Halle sculpt is good, but her eyes are too small and she's too dark. Those are my only quibbles. The Pussy Galore figure exudes class all the way. And the Jinx figure is built for fun (great gun and lots of knives to throw). I will hijack one of the knives and give it to the Lazenby figure if/when I get one.

I have a Connery Thunderball on the way, too. Can't wait for that!

I got the ladies for very good prices (along with Abbey Chase and Sydney Savage 12" figures by Dragon--these are waaay cool, too). And I'm getting the Thunderball Connery for free! Whoo hoo! After this, my Sideshow figure account will be on zero for some time. Maybe I'll have saved up again by the time the Roger Moonraker figure is out.

Thunderball Connery arrived today, and it is the best figure yet. The accessories are excellent and the face sculpt is amazing. Such fun he's having with Pussy on my bookcase!

I broke down and ordered a Goldeneye Brosnan. Should be arriving next week. May have to do some customizing of his wardrobe.

I think I'll get myself a Lazenby and then go on buying hiatus until Moonraker Roger is released.

Anyone here getting the 1/4 scale Brosnan? I only have 1 other Bond figure the Connery 1/4 scale, i've decided not to get into the 12" figures as i collect enough things already, i would love to but its to addictive. I love the Connery do u think Sideshow r likely to make other figures, villians maybe, Jaws would be fantastic. A very broad question how many different cars 1/18 scale have been made r there heaps of companies that have made Bond cars?
Cant wait for the new Bond game from Russia with love. Also great article on the Aston Martin . That would be a nice car to have by the looks of it , buying it would also be fun.
Hope to hear Sean soon on the new game :)

I'd love a 1/4 scale Brosnan. Would really go well next to the PC.

And a Connery too for that matter.

Its been a while since the last post in this topic which was in July 2005... Lets get it going again with the 1/4 Pierce Brosnan figure..

The 1/4 Pierce Brosnan James Bond figure/statue from Sideshow Collectibles has finally been released and although I have already collected it from the hobby store a while back after its release... I thought that I should post something abt the figure here.... And this is my first post here...

All I have to say is wow!!! This is my first 1/4 figure... I did not get the Sean Connery 1/4 figure when it was first released so I don't know how that one was compared to the Brosnan figure that I just bought.

This is definitely worth getting and I don't regret getting it especially since Pierce Brosnan is my favourite Bond... The figure looks better than the prototype pics that we have all seen before it was released.. The likeness of the figure on the final product is dead on with Pierce Brosnan's more older/seasoned look as seen in Die Another Day.. I wld give the likeness a rating of 7/10. This figure is really heavy.. Perhaps the heaviest figure and most expensive figure that I've own so far... Figure is made of polystone, that would explain the weight... Really solid too.. I wld prefer calling this figure a statue.....

Only 1250 pcs of these Brosnan figures are produced... Those new with these Bond 1/4 figures, each base of the figure (similar to that of the 1/4 Connery) is individually numbered and signed by the sculptor of the figure, Oluf W. Hartvigson... Though I wld have actually preferred if Pierce Brosnan himself signed it as well... Oh well..

Mine is numbered 0417 out of 1250...

Enjoy the pics...

Great interview with the sculptor!!!!

I really love the 1/4 Brosnan that I bought.. Never regret getting it.. Indeed, I regard the figure as a great tribute to one of the best Bond actors since Sean Connery..!! A great sight whenever I enter my room...

I recently bought the 12 inch Dr. No Sean Connery as James Bond figure (yes, in the tux!!!!) Got it at a bargain price... Went into a toy store and found it on a shelve.. Grabbed it as soon as I saw it... Still mint in box.. Not sure if i shd open it up.. The figure itself looks really great!!! It would look really great too if I were to display it beside my other Sideshow 12 inch Brosnan Goldeneye figure though... hmmm...

I do have all the figures. These polyestone figures look nice, but the price is a bit offputting :cooltongue:.

I think I'll get the legacy figures next. Ther're available to buy in the UK in Feb2007.

I just got done pre-ordering the new "Sean Connery as James Bond" from Sideshow's new "Legacy Collection".

Connery as Bond (Legacy Collection)

I just recently got into collecting movie memorbilia and this is my first experience ordering anything through Sideshow Collectibles. So, needless to say, I can't wait until my order ships in April!

Also, I'm hoping they release Auric Goldfinger and Red Grant at some point.

I am going to get the George Lazenby as James Bond - Legacy edition. I think it is the best of the Legacy editions they have brought out so far.

The Legacy figures are fine, but it just seems like Sideshow could do so much more with Bond rather than throwing out the same Bond figures again with a different tux and so on. Now that all five of them have been released as Legacy figures, I hope we see a major move to some Casino Royale and other characters in the series.

My local Hasting's had three of the Legacy figures Brosnan, Connery and Moore at retail price and I had been waiting to see if they would be marked down. They marked down the Brosnan figure from $44.99 to $33.00 and I decided to play the waiting game to see if I could get it cheaper. It went down again to $22.00 dollars and I waited a little long then finally decided to go get it. When I found it this time it had been marked again down to $11.00.

I snatched it up like a crazed monkey. Now I hope they mark down Connery and Moore.

Since they have yet to release a Craig figure I'm guessing that Sideshow's license has lapsed.
