Loved Brosnan, Hated Moore, Julianne Moore that is. More annoying than delightful and a bit pushing it with the Tracy and Hephburn analogy in some of the reviews. I couldn't picture them together. I thought it would have worked either with Meg Ryan or even Jodie Foster because you really don't know what to expect from good ol' Jodie. Overall, very cute film, not my kind of thing. However, it makes me even more ansy to see the new Bridget Jones sequel.

I heard this movie wasn't very good. The reviews were pretty bad.

Also, you spelled "roles" wrong.

I loved this movie. Pierce was great in it. He is such a versatile actor. He doesn't get enough credit from the critics. That is sad.

What do you think the alternate ending was -- the go to divorce, and she represents herself to make them lose the case?

I thought the movie pulled together nicely. I went with my step-mother, and she seemed to enjoy it. I even liked it! I also give it an A.

Saw this at the cinemas today.

Very enjoyable, if rather predictable. Not a big fan of romantic comedies, but there was some great chemistry here between Pierce and Julianne Moore, and both worked in their respective roles perfectly. Funny how Brosnan flawlessly pulls off the scruffy chap and the sophisticated fellow. And for what it's worth, he looked great in this film; certainly not too old for another Bond outing or two. The GoldenEye hair may have helped. :)

What I really enjoyed was how the film had such a polished feel to it, from the classy main titles and the elegant score, to the cinematography and dialogue, with the dirty jokes reduced to a minimum. The film jarred a bit when the rocker/designer were on-screen; they seemed out of place in such a sophisticated-looking film. I can see it's going to be something that's going to bug me on repeat viewings. Nora Dunn was enjoyable as the intermittently bitchy judge [reminiscent of her nicer moments as Michael McKean's character's wife-from-hell on The X-Files].

The movie flew by, but it's a shame the script wasn't more laugh-out-loud funny, because there was plenty of potential there, dealing with a storyline about two competing lawyers with opposing views on marriage/divorce falling in love. All the same, an amusing way to kill some time, and who knows, when the DVD comes around, maybe I'll pick it up.

Pity there's such a long wait 'til After the Sunset. Is it me, or does it seem like it's having a massive post-production period? Suppose I can't complain, seeing as how Evelyn was only released here a couple of months back.

It has been a long wait, not just you that has noticed. After the Sunset is the one I've been anticipating more. It just sounds like a generally good film. Why the long wait is not known to me, but I'm sure it'll come up quicker than it seems.
