;D It's OK(i'm not REALLY upset) I know you're just having a laugh. It's good to have a giggle about Bond now and then. ;D

As far as 23 goes, once again, folks, Dalton did not kill or nearly kill the franchise. Can we please lay that one to rest once and for all?

And in response to 14, watch the cargo net fight with Necros in Living Daylights and tell me the guy can't throw a punch.

23 isn't my view either. It's just the common perception, which is why I put "apparently" after it.

14 - It's a great fight, but he throws an odd looking punch to me.

You know what is better than having a giggle at Bond? Watching Bond have a giggle...when he laughs...and I mean this with all the Bonds who laughed....his eyes simply light up, like he has forgotten himself and his job, and that is so lovely!

Here's some:
1. Bond doesn't wear a wig.
2. Bond doesn't wear horrid safari suits.
3. Bond can act properly!
4. Looks deadly in a tuxedo.
5. He can do two-wheelies with a truck.
6. He doesn't have blonde/orange hair.
7. Doesn't look like a pensioner.
8. He likes to barbecue his enemy.
9. He can get REALLY angry.

DALTON IS FLEMING'S SUPERSPY O O 7!

I'm cool with that on 23, Victor. I thought that was your intention, but the problem is there are a few people who post around here who refuse to believe that or don't know any better. They see that and they think it's law without knowing the facts.

I guess most of us know better. Right, Ritz?

I'm a self-confessed Dalton fan. He didn't nearly kill the franchise, the staleness of the LTK's script and direction nearly killed it.

And to add to the fun:

26) Double his action, double your pain.

27) Writhing is a good thing.

28) He smiles for longer than a minute

29) You find yourself thinking "What would Pierce Brosnan Do?"

30) There are no villians.

31) It's the beginning of the invasion from the Royal Shakespeare Company.

32) You have the living daylights bored out of you.

33) You suddenly want a licence to kill.

I am a LTK fan, and yes, I am not a closeted one. I do not mind to make it known that I love LTK, more so than Dalton's previous.

34. After the first 20 petrol-tanker explosions, a man on fire is not that violent. Lighten up Mr Critic.

35. X-ray photos look suspiciously like the Nestea[tm] snowman before he gets 'iced up'.

36. That oh-so-serious-and-violent Bond slides through the Czech-point (har har...) on a 'cello case.

37. If GoldenEye is correct in it's timing, both a general and a colonel in the Russian army want Bond dead, yet Pushkin is willing to let Bond shoot him.

I'd like to agree with Jimmy Bond Licence To Kill is the best Bond film. Timothy Dalton plays James Bond as he is ment to be a cold hearted ruthless spy, who is used to getting his own way.

I can't wait for all the abusive comments to this post, but its what I feel.

Well, only if I can pretend you didn't read them properly.

I don't think we're on the same page here. I like Dalton. I like all the Bonds. That doesn't mean I won't ever try to find fun in their movies. I've done these reminders on all the Bonds. They aren't an in-depth critique, just a bit of fun comparing the 5 actors.

I don't see the anti-Dalton comments at all. Perhaps you aren't into satirical review.

As for your points Ritzy, I agree, in fact 2 of them were mine. He doesn't wear a wig and he can act are in my 25.

My only disagreement with anyone's comments following on from that is that I personally prefer TLD to LTK.

The biggest reminder that a film is a Dalton film is that it is superb.

Not sure what you're talking about. Both Dalton films made over a hundred Million world wide.

You have to take them into account worldwide if you want to call them successes. In 87, TLD made just a little over 50 mil here in the states, right about the same as a View To A Kill. LTK only made around 34-35 mil. Worldwide grosses...where would Mickey Rourke, Jean Claude Van Damme, and Jerry Lewis be without them?

Contrary to popular belief, the world does not revolve around the U.S. So yes, you have to take into world wide gross when disussing the Bond films, and by all accounts, Daltons two films were successes.

Are you still here? Ok, at least that explains why they made sequels to Wild Orchard and Bloodsport and every other Goddamned Van Damme movie out there.

Box office success is not everything! Just because the stupid public dislike a film doesn't mean it's bad. Anyway, Dalton's films were both pretty successful worldwide. The world, as Jimmybond says, does not revolve around hank the yank

Good, going by that same argument, I can rightfully say that most of Kevin Costner's films are good (they are, with the exception of the Elvis movie). They haven't made a lot of money, but I still like them. Right?

Ways You can tell it's a Dalton Bond....

It's either John Barry's last Bond he ever scored or the only one Michael Kamen ever scored.
